Our maisonette is perfectly situated in Maisons Laffitte, only 20 minutes by public transport or car from Paris. It is totally independent, offering quiet, secluded, high quality accommodation and only two minutes walk away from the superb 18th century château of Maisons, the town centre and railway station. It has a private drive, where you can park your car if needed and a terrace where your children can play safely. It has received a four star rating from the French Tourist Board.

A Great Place To Stay When Touring around Paris
This was a really lovely place to stay. The maisonette was spotless and equipped with everything needed for our visit, plus lots of considerate extras. Michéle was a great host, offering advice both before and during our stay. Some very thoughtful provisions awaited us on our arrival, and when we asked for some old towels to use for swimming she bought additional towels immediately. The local swimming pool, meanwhile, was a huge hit with the children, including outdoor and indoor pools and even a sprinkler playground. Maisons Laffitte was really convenient to reach by car and the house was only a short walk to station (with RER links directly with Metro 1 line or with Gare St Lazare). It was lovely to be able to sit outside in our private garden after a day's touring around the city.

Our stay at La maison du Parc
We had a wonderful stay at La maison du Parc! For anyone wanting to stay near Paris, especially with a car, there is absolutely nowhere better. The car is totally safe in remote controlled security gates but we hardly used it at all as the train service to Paris is exceptional. The station is a few minutes walk away and in 20 minutes you emerge from the metro immediately in front of the Arc de Triomphe! We purchased the Navigo pass which allows unlimited travel to, from and within Paris - even to Versailles which is in the same zone. The house itself is spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need - the TV even has a full Freeview package. There is no need to drive to a supermarket as the Casino is within easy walking distance and has everything you could want. Maisons Laffitte itself is a safe and affluent suburb of Paris with lovely walks and a fascinating château. There are several restaurants and excellent delicatessens plus of course the all important bakers' shops. Michèle our bi-lingual host was extremely pleasant and lives close by should you need her. We cannot praise this property and its location too highly and can't wait to return next year!

Excellent
An excellent holiday apartment. Nicely furnished with all the facilities you could want, and all in an excellent state of repair. We came by car and the ample parking space was a rare bonus. It is very well placed for visits to Paris, Versailles, Giverny and all the other attractions of the area. Maisons Laffitte is an exceptionally pleasant area to holiday in. Its equestrian heritage gives it an extra interest. Michele’s welcome and availability made a very nice start to the holiday. Definitely recommended.

5 STAR ACCOMMODATION
The perfect place to stay with quick and easy access to the centre of Paris, Versailles, etc., but having the pleasure of staying in a lovely suburb. The Navigo train ticket (Mon - Sat) is a very good investment at 39.40 euros (passport photo required). Maisons-Laffitte has a good choice of shops and restaurants as well as an excellent market (Wednesday and Saturday mornings). The house is extremely well equipped, very comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. It also has private access and is set back from the road making it both private and peaceful. We would have no hesitation in recommending this holiday accommodation to friends and family as well as returning ourselves for an enjoyable stay so close to Paris. A huge thank you to Michele who was the perfect host.

The best of everything
This is a wonderful place to stay offering the best of both worlds - quick and easy access to the centre of Paris while staying in one of the loveliest suburbs. The owner has thought of everything to make your stay extremely comfortable and enjoyable - it is a real home from home. The house is beautifully decorated and extremely well equipped, spotlessly clean, with private access and plenty of parking space. It is only a brief stroll into the town centre of Maisons Laffitte with its fabulous food shops and cafes; the market (Saturday morning) is highly recommended. I hope you do experience this lovely place to stay and enjoy yourselves as much as we did.
