Little Tides Reach is an apartment is an extended part a 1960s detached contemporary beach front property, located at the foreshore of the private end of East beach Rd in Selsey. LTR is a private part of the dwelling that has been turned into a boutique modern compact 2 bed apartment. A great spot for a relaxing break and Holiday away from home. LTR also has a private garden area which has a selection of contemporary outdoor furniturel. A calm and quite garden with only noises of the sound of the waves crashing. A short walk takes you to the local fishing huts in Selsey to sample locally caught lobster and crab. If your a keen Diver Selsey has a PADI 5 star IDC National Geographic centre and offer try dives and provide training in small groups at all levels from PADI Open Water to Professional Level. Scenic walks along the water’s edge, with Pagham Harbour (SSSI), a haven for bird life, incorporate a relaxing week-end with Glorious Goodwood/Festival.

About the Owner

I live here with my two wonderful miniature schnauzer girls aged 6.

We love to take long walks along to Pagham and the coast of Selsey meeting friendly people along the way.

No matter what time of year it is the changing seasons bring wonderful sunrises, calm and balmy seas.

The full moon rises also on the east coast and sets itself across the sea lighting up for as far as the eye can see. Just some reasons why living here is so wonderful for us.

Lovely break perfect location

We stayed at Little Tides last August.

Perfect little accommodation right on the sea front.Short walk to the pub & park. Small daughter loved being so near the sea.

Owners are kind, helpful and unobtrusive.

Loved it so much we rebooked for Aug16 as we were leaving.

Beautiful views, great location, wonderful hosts

Stayed for 5 days from 6th July with my mother - fab hosts, super friendly and nothing too much trouble - the apartment is very clean, has everything you need and is perfectly located. Lots of varied cuisine to suit all tastes in the high street and plenty to do in the surrounding areas but equally peaceful if you fancy just relaxing and chilling out in the sun in the garden on the lovely comfortable garden furniture with the beach on your back doorstep! Thanks for your wonderful hospitality Debbie and Bev - we will be back! :)

If you want a relaxing break like us, this is the place to be its so peaceful. Bev and Debbie are really welcoming and helpful nothing is too much trouble. Good base if you want to travel further afield plenty to do and see within 30 mins.

Location

From the Owner

I fell in love with this wonderful beach location on the south coast and had to live here. this 1960's house stands proudly over looking the east bay in Selsey. Everyone here are friendly and caring, its very tranquil spot and no hustle and bustle packed beaches, quiet and the water is clear. Its close to South Downs, Pagham and Chichester, with its cobbled streets and beautiful cathedral are all just a 10-minute drive away. The Witterings beaches, picturesque Bosham, Arundel Castle and Portsmouth are easily reached. Shops, pubs and restaurants 0.5 miles. Its a great place to live and visit and so I decided to offer a part of our home, an attached apartment for others to enjoy it too.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

The beach is on your doorstep,plus scenic walks along the water’s edge, with Pagham Harbour (SSSI), a haven for bird life. Popular local beaches at The Witterings and Hayling Island are within 20-30mins driving distance.

Selsey is a great location for scuba Diving. Selsey has a PADI 5 star IDC National Geographic centre and BSAC Premier Centre based at Selsey West Sussex. Email: info@mulberrydivers.co.uk

In Selsey there is many activities too, scenic walks, sailing, fishing, cycle routes and riding and selsey has a local golf course.

Local shops are 0.75 mile and the local Lifeboat Inn a short walk along the seafront for local fish and chips.

For Horse Racing, car racing, visit Goodwood which is nearby 20 mins by car.

Selsey is close to the beautiful City of Chichester just 8 miles away, there is much to do and see in this Cathedral city, a Festival Theatre and great bars and restaurants plus great shopping areas.

The Roman Villa at Fishbourne is well worth a visit too, or exploring the many popular local beaches at The Witterings and Hayling Island. Portsmouth is close by with Gunwharf Quays for waterside dining, shopping outlets, and the Spinnaker Tower, HMS Victory and ferry trips to the Isle of Wight.

The historic town of Arundel is only a half hour drive from Selsey.

Brighton, the cosmopolitan city is just 40 miles from Selsey a great place to people watch, shop in the famous Lanes, and sample the many restaurants and bars.

In a superb peaceful location on the unspoilt East Beach area of Selsey, this ‘boutique style’ compact apartment is an extended part of the owner’s large gated home, with access onto a quiet secluded tidal beach. Uninterrupted sea views can be enjoyed from the master bedroom and this light, airy apartment has contemporary furnishing, tastefully styled throughout. Windsurfing, sailing, riding, fishing, golf, walking and birdwatching are all available locally as well as many National Trust homes and gardens waiting to be discovered. Selsey has a good array of shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants with freshly caught fish of the day and leisure facilities including an indoor swimming pool. In the summer months, Selsey buzzes with festivities with a variety of fêtes, carnivals and festivals.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: Welcome pack on arrival i.e organic milk, local free range eggs, bread and a sweet item to enjoy with a cuppa. Outside: Outdoor furniture is supplied in the garden area. There is a front beach garden also available to use, which is directly onto the beach, we also tend to use this area, but its large enough to share. you are allowed to BBQ and put your Loungers out on the front if you wish. People wander past and are very friendly, its very quiet and unspoilt with very few people using the beach. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: White towels, tea towels, and white bedlinen are included. For weekly guests we offer a free laundry service (wash/dry only) fortnightly we will provide a change of towels and bedlinen only. The apartment is cleaned before each changeover.
