Pasha Place is one of Istanbul Place Apartments' sensitive restoration projects. It's on the third floor - three flights of original marble stairs - of a grand and elegant 19th century building near the beautiful Galata Tower. The street is sophisticated, with smart cafes, top Turkish fashion design boutiques and a cool bohemian feel.

The apartment is only 1 minute walk from Sishane metro station, 3 minutes walk to Tünel funicular and a short downhill walk to connect with the tram for Sultanahmet. Famous Istiklal Avenue is around 5 minutes walk up the hill.

The bedrooms are stylish: two doubles and one twin, each with chic velvet headboards and high quality crisp white linens. Two of the bedrooms have fabulous views. The kitchen is large, chic and well-equipped with high-end appliances including dish-washer. The dining area has a lovely ceramic tiled floor and leads to the airy hall. The living room is stylish and comfortable with two feather-filled sofas and a bar table area leading to bay windows with fabulous panoramic views across the Bosphorus and Golden Horn. The spacious hall has a smart shower room at one end and a separate loo at the other. Original wooden floorboards give a warm feel and all doors and windows are also elegant originals, adding grace.

This apartment is 110 m2 in total, serene and restful. It's flooded with sunlight through its large sash windows and has very high ceilings throughout. The bedrooms comfortably accommodate six people.

Guests will have the complete privacy of the entire apartment.

Galata has a genuine, very welcoming and diverse community with an intriguing mix of cafes, restaurants, small grocery shops and artistic boutiques. Elegant 19th Century buildings line cobbled streets, with discoveries waiting around every corner. No matter where you wander, you’ll always find your way back to Galata Tower, which has been a well-loved landmark for the last 700 years.

Getting Around:

Metro, bus, tram and ferry stops are all only a few minutes walk away. The famous Istiklal Avenue is around 5 minutes stroll. You can be in Sultanahmet (for the big sights of Ayasofya, Topkapı, Blue Mosque etc.) in about 12 minutes by public transport or 20 minutes on foot. In the other direction, by Metro, you can be in Şişli (for Istanbul’s biggest shopping mall) in 10 minutes or Levent (for Istanbul’s business district) in 15 minutes.

There are many taxi ranks around and some secure car parks too.

Interaction with Guests:

This is a small Turkish-British family project. Julia and Tarkan used to live in Istanbul then Singapore and are now balancing life between England and Istanbul. If we're in Istanbul during your stay we'd love to meet you.

Your questions and booking will be handled by us wherever we are. When you arrive in Istanbul Tarkan’s wonderful family and/or our friendly team will welcome you to your apartment, give you the keys and explain about practicalities and the neighbourhoods.

We offer sensitively renovated historic apartments with elegance and character, in the fascinating district of Beyoglu: the heart of Istanbul. We're a small Turkish-British family project. Julia and Tarkan have led international lives based in Istanbul then Singapore, most recently balancing between England and Istanbul. Along the way we've raised our son, now 12 years old, across the cultures as we've steadily grown our other baby - this holiday apartment project which we now run full-time. We understand the makings of a great city-break stay and we try our very hardest to deliver it to our guests in Istanbul. Your questions and booking will be handled by us and then, on arrival, Tarkan's family and our team, with their natural Turkish hospitality, will welcome you to your apartment.

“We loved this place. It was easy to get around Istanbul from this location. The street was very quiet. Lots of cool shops, cafes and restaurants in the area and a grocery store at the corner. The apartment was clean and bright with a great view of the Old City.



The apartment was newly remodeled and a great modern / traditional mix. I would happily stay here any time I return to Istanbul. Tarkan was very helpful with information before we arrived. It is perfect for a family or group of friends.”

Great Space

This apartment is outstanding, it is sun filled with fabulous views and centrally located. Property description is accurate , spotlessly clean with all utilities needed for your stay. We were a family of five, including three adult children and the space allowed us all to have our privacy.

The 'team@istanbul!place' were very easy to contact and replied promptly to any queries. They also supplied additional helpful, local information such as transport and day trip links. We took advantage of the transport link and this alleviated any stress. The van arrived on time with a very professional driver. We were met on arrival, helped with our luggage, there are a number of flights of stairs, given the key and directions. We were then independent but with the comfort of knowing assistance was only a text, email or phone call away. Thank you for enhancing our travel in Turkey.
