The apartment is opposite the Office du Tourisme and is in the heart of the town, only two minutes' walk from the beach. You can see the sea from the living room and kitchen. It is set just above street level, which gives privacy yet a feeling of being in the heart of the town. It has a pleasant atmosphere with its light, airy rooms and high ceilings. Easy transport links with ferry crossings from St. Malo to UK, Dinard airport 10 minutes' drive away, buses stop outside flat to Dinan, Rennes, St. Malo, St. Briac, and little ferry to St. Malo 5 minutes' walk away. Ideally situated for touring Brittany. Many cultural events at Dinard and St. Malo. Wide range of activities to choose from. Dinard golf course nearby at St. Briac.

About the Owner

My husband and I fell in love with Dinard and the air of faded elegance with the wonderful villas and just love being part of the community when we are there. We have had the flat since 1989 and keep coming back with our children and now our grandchildren. We are semi-retired and participate in many of the cultural events at Dinard. We are keen swimmers so it's just great being close to the beach (2 minutes away), enjoy walking, sitting on the Promenade sipping wine watching the world go by, and generally being part of a very friendly community.

We probably spend about 2 months of the year at Dinard and very much feel we are part of the local community and have many French friends there.

Convenient, comfortable, charming

The apartment couldn't be better situated, being opposite the tourist information centre and the bus stops and very convenient for the fantastic Saturday market, the shops and the beach! We went to Dinard without a car and didn't miss it at all (apart from not being able to take much of the lovely muscadet back!); everything is so accessible from Villo Campo. Ann had sent helpful, clear instructions to us before our stay and so we had no difficulties settling in for our six day sejour. We loved the wooden floors, the green shuttters and long windows and found everything we needed for a relaxing, self-catering holiday. We plan to go again and would unreservedly recommend it to anyone wanting to enjoy a slice of French life in Brittany.

Absolutely gorgeous apartment!

A really lovely apartment right in the centre of Dinard, a gorgeous typically French period building, full of character - really high ceilings, lots of double floor to ceiling opening doors, lovely furniture, with quirky homely touches (love the lamps!) fully equipped kitchen with everything you will need. You don't even really need a car (the airport is only a 10 minute drive away) Dinard has everything you need for a perfect holiday and you can catch a ferry to St.Malo and the bus service is excellent and stops right outside the tourist office (which is opposite the apartment) The owner - Ann - is so helpful and replies to any email enquiries very promptly, you get that feeling that she really wants you to enjoy your stay in her holiday home, she even sends you a list of things to do in Dinard with restaurant recommendations etc (including where to buy your wine by the box from the local market!). Dinard has so much to offer, lots of lovely restaurants and bars, gorgeous beach, you won't be disappointed!

From the Owner

We first visited Dinard at Easter in 1985 and came back every year until in 1989 we bought this flat. It is in a listed building, on the ground floor, and we just love being part of the 'faded elegance' of Dinard and the feeling of being in the heart of the town. It originally belonged to a 99 year old French lady who was having a 'little trouble' with the few steps to the apartment. Over the years we have made many French friends and we receive a wonderful welcome every time we visit. We spend about two months of the year in France and live in the UK for the rest of the year, apart form travelling a lot to visit family scattered over the world in New Zealand, Australia and Malta. Our heart belongs in Dinard but most of our family and friends are in the UK so our base is in the UK.

Contact the owner via telephone or email, complete booking form with a deposit of approx. 25% of letting fee, pay full amount 8 weeks before depart date, keys to property will be sent in good time before visit. For a 3 day visit, a charge for cleaning of £25 will be made.

Changeover Day:
Saturday is normally the changeover day in high season, but is flexible at other times of the year. Guests need to leave by 9.30 am on the day of departure to allow time for cleaning. The letting normally commences at 2.30 pm but can be varied at times

Notes on prices:
For short breaks, the nightly rate is pro rata the weekly rate plus £25 cleaning. Cleaning is included in the weekly rate.

The flat is on the ground floor, yet above street level so you have privacy. It is really close to the beach so it is easy to pop back if you have forgotten anything. It is in a listed building, about a hundred years old, has beautiful moulded ceilings, and the flat is close to the market, shops, restaurants, bars, beach and great walks around the headlands. It is close to lots of sporting facilities such as swimming, kayaking, tennis, horse riding, golf, walking, plus lots of cultural activities in Dinard. There is something for everyone and it is a safe place to bring the family.

  • Notes on accommodation: Free public car parking is available within a 5-10 minute walk. Possible to stop outside in side street to offload shopping and luggage if no metered car parking space available nearby when you first arrive. Outside: There is an attractive walled courtyard garden which is communal to the five flat owners in this villa. Entrance to the property is through this courtyard and up a flight of approximately 7 steps to the main entrance. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: You need to bring your own towels/linens as these are not included but can be supplied with advance warning on request at extra charge (£25-£30). Cleaning after each client but clients are requested to leave the flat in a clean and tidy condition .
