About the Owner

Antony & Gai live in the UK; one works in the film industry, the other in publishing. We have two children & we all try to get to Turkey as often as we can. We were lucky enough to be able to buy our own villa, and having stayed at many villas in the past we want to make it as comfortable for us & our guests, to ensure a really relaxing holiday no matter how many days you are staying there.

Guestbook comments from the owner

After getting engaged in Kalkan two years earlier, there was little question as to where we should spend our honeymoon. Villa Paramelle looked absolutely perfect – and it was! We couldn't have asked for more, and only managed to pull ourselves away from the pool, comfy sunbeds and absolutely incredible view once during the entire holiday (other than for the short walk into town for some fantastic meals in the evenings). The whole holiday was perfect, and Gai and Tony were brilliant in terms of booking and arranging transfers from the airport – we didn't have to think about anything ourselves which was exactly what we needed. We couldn't recommend the villa more highly, especially for anyone looking for the perfect place to spend a honeymoon in Kalkan, and cannot wait to go back.

Hannah & Craig, UK. June 2013

Wonderful villa, stunning views, spotlessly clean and true to the description on the website. Owners very helpful and communication prompt and efficient.

beautiful villa with stunning views

  • 5 of 5

We love Kalkan, having visited many times before. This was our first stay in Villa Paramelle but we have already booked to stay here again twice next year! The views from the villa are simply stunning, especially from the luxurious infinity pool. It's an easy downhill walk into the heart of Kalkan in the evening although there are very good bars and restaurants nearby too. The owners have put a lot of thought into making this a homely, comfortable and welcoming villa. Gai is extremely helpful and answers any queries quickly and efficiently. We cannot recommend Villa Paramelle highly enough and are counting the days until our return visit next spring!

Wow! Wonderful villa in a breathtaking location. We SHALL return.

  • 5 of 5

You are so lucky to have a fabulous villa in such a unique location. Kalkan is clearly a resort that appeals to British tourists yet thankfully retains its Turkish authenticity. Our first visit to Kalkan and it will not be our last. The view from your villa is such that you can simply sit and watch a subtly changing view for hours. Favourite restaurants were Coriander and The Brothers along with Bodamya up in Islamlar which is well worth a lunch visit if only for the view. Villa was clean comfortable and welcoming. We often walked back from town after an evening meal but if your preference is to take a taxi avoiding a couple of short steep hills then they are as cheap as chips! Thankyou for having us Gai and Tony.

Stunning Villa with breath taking views

  • 5 of 5

Fell instantly in love with Villa Paramelle .... It was spotlessly clean and the lay out was perfect . Not far from the Kalamar road where there are some gorgeous little restaurants and bars and a nice walk into town. The pool is perfect for a cooling off dip .... The kitchen had everything we needed ...and the bedrooms were spacious with the most amazing views of the Med ! The sunsets in the evening on the terrace roof were out of this world! The gardens were beautiful .... It was just a fantastic 2 weeks once again in Kalkan ....we would definitely book Paramelle again! Thank you for an amazing stay in your villa xx

Fantastic villa, Fantastic location

  • 5 of 5

Right from the first email in contacting Gai & Tony their communication with us was excellent. They helped organise our airport transfer, which was slick. On arrival at the villa, WOW!WOW!WOW is the only thing we said to each other when we first stepped onto the patio area. The views are amazing, Paramelle itself has everything you need to make your stay extremely comfortable, we were a party of 4 adults. The kitchen had everything we required, the new BBQ area was well used by us. My husband spend the afternoons in the ottoman to relax and read his book. We spend our week relaxing by the pool with the occasional trip into the town. Kalkan is a lovely Turkish fishing town, which takes about 15 minutes to walk to the old town. We always had a taxi back to the villa due to the steep hills in Kalkan, the cost of the trip from old town to the Paramelle is 9 lira. (Worth every lira due to the extreme heat in August). The Turkish people are friendly, respectful and go out of their way to help you in any way they can. This year Kalkan has really suffered from the lack of tourist due to the problems in Turkey, we can only stress that we felt very safe and most welcome from all the people we meet during our stay.

Thank you Gai & Tony

Fantastic time at Villa Paramelle

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic time at Villa Paramelle. The interior was finished to a high standard and we loved the double bedroom. Outside there were lots of different areas to relax in, including the hammock which was great for reading in, the Turkish seating area which we loved after dinner in the evenings (especially with its colourful electric lanterns) and above all the lovely roof terrace which was great for star gazing. The kids also loved the infinity pool with its amazing views. We stayed in Kalkan last year in a different villa, but preferred Villa Paramelle for it's dual aspect views and great location close to shops and restaurants. It is also close enough to walk into town to the harbour area in the evenings. I would definitely come back and would recommend it to friends and family. Given the current situation in Turkey we felt very safe and were treated with open arms by the locals. I will definitely be back again in the future.

Superb villa with great views.

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at Villa Paramelle many times, we love the villa and the great views. Nice stroll down to Kalkan centre, (about 10 minutes) we tend to get a taxi back to villa at a cost of 9L. Food in restaurants is of a very high standard and so many to choose from.

Location

From the Owner

We fell in love with this area after holidaying here many times. Kalkan has not been ruined by mass tourism and remains an unspoilt yet sophisticated resort, with many restaurants, cafes and a few bars. Once people visit Kalkan you find they return again & again. We chose this property because of the 180° views from all levels, & it's easy walking distance into town.

From the Owner

Villa Paramelle is in a quiet area of Kalkan, on a hillside which affords stunning views, yet close enough to the old town, beach & harbour to be able to walk everywhere - so hiring a car is not necessary, unless you want to visit one of the many attractions nearby - ancient ruins, stunning scenery in the mountains, sandy beaches or out of the way restaurants. The villa is very private, tastefully decorated & very well-equipped. We want a beautiful place to holiday in, & want our guests to enjoy the same. The view from our roof terrace as the sun goes down is one of the best in Kalkan.
