About the Owner

We are a family of three who moved to Brittany to escape our busy lifestyle and to give our young son the opportunity to grow up safely in the fresh air and enjoy the benefits of the countryside.

We have integrated well and have made some fabulous friends and neighbours. Our son attends the local school and is now a popular member of the class. He is fluent in french, while our understanding of the language is taking a little longer, we do try!

Spacious and really comfy cottage, the hosts were fantastic and welcoming and the children had lots of fun in the pool and loved Harry and Cobweb. We had great weather and had plenty of walks in the beautiful countryside. See you again soon Carol Bob and the children x

Super accommodation in very peaceful surroundings, great places to visit and lots of shopping in St Brieuc!! made to feel at home, thanks so much Les, Denise and Elliott. Regards the Gardiner family

Total relaxation, the children loved playing in the swimming in the pool and the weather was fabulous. Can recommend the beautiful beaches at Perros Guirec and the alfresco cafes and restaurants. The children had a fantastic day at Amoripark next door to the cottage I even got the wife to go in the boats on the river!! See you next year! George, Chrissy, Heather, Charley and Penny.

A lovely, spacious gite and grounds. Quiet location with easy access to beaches and historic towns.

  • 4 of 5

We had such a lovely week at Pedernec. The gite was light, clean, spacious and well equipped. The pool and garden gave the whole family (two children 14 and 12 years) plenty of space to relax and play. The cats and chickens were a big hit. Such a quiet, rural location, but so easy to access the beautiful coastline and many interesting, historic towns. Too much to see and do in such a short time. Denise was very warm and welcoming. We would definitely recommend this holiday cottage.

Great base to explore Brittany

  • 5 of 5

Great base to explore Brittany. Stayed with my wife and 2 young children. Lots of space inside property and outside, very quiet and peaceful. Owners live in property next door who were very welcoming and on hand if you need anything (such as light bulb blown) but also very respectful of your privacy and hardly noticed them throughout the week. All facilities you could need in kitchen, bedrooms, private pool, bbq, seating at front and back of house to get morning/afternoon sun. Local village (pedernec) and town (guingamp) a 5/10 minute drive with bakery, shops etc.

Property is 2 bedroom but as we were travelling with a baby the 2nd bathroom was big enough to put a travel cot in (also provided) with a towel in the window which blacked it out and made a useful 3rd room! Main bathroom had toilet/shower/bath/sink so didn't need to go in 2nd bathroom anyway.

Would recommend and happily stay again.

Relaxation + comfort - easy access to beaches, etc

  • 5 of 5

Just two of us in our 60s, looking for relaxation and comfort with easy access to visit beaches, see stunning scenery and take lazy lunches - we weren't disappointed !!! Excellent property which fitted the description perfectly. Two outdoor tables - one in the courtyard for sunny alfresco eating (great BBQ) and one in the back garden to sit with a glass of wine in the evening and watch the sun set. We were slightly concerned about the above ground pool but it was perfect for cooling down and would have been much appreciated by our grandchildren ..... Guingamp is the nearest town - very pretty, such a lot to see and do and many really lovely restaurants. Stunning coastal views and golden beaches within 30 minutes drive, including more wonderful restaurants. The Plat Du Jour and Vin (or Cidre) a la Maison are always excellent choices !!! Denise and Les are hard working and helpful hosts but concerned to respect the privacy of their guests, although we did enjoy a great evening together. Elliott is a charmer and switches between fluent French and English with ease - what a gift !!! We were surprised that there were no sun loungers but this was the only small issue for us. We will be recommending this property to friends and family and will not hesitate to rebook.

Peaceful location, perfect Gite

  • 5 of 5

A wonderful Gite, well maintained, very clean and well equipped. The Gite is located in a very peaceful and tranquil location yet only a short drive to the main town of Guingamp and a few minutes from the very child friendly Amoripark.

The accomadation is large, light and airy and perfectly equipped.

The pool is well maintained and it was perfect for our son to splash around in whilst we relaxed and enjoyed the quietness whilst in one of the 2 outside areas.

We've had 2 stays and would highly recommend this Gite.

Denise and Les are perfect hosts and most welcoming. Thanks guys for 2 perfect stays!!!

Fabulous, tranquil relaxing Gite.

  • 5 of 5

Fabulous place! We have now stayed twice. It is just so relaxing, and great for children. Superb accommodation, lovely, light, airy house which is very well equipped, and lovely pool. The outside space is also excellent as are the animals, which we miss. Denise, Les and Elliott are lovely and made us feel at home. Lots to do for the children and safe, while the adults can relax. A must visit is the Armoripark, great pools and lots and fun. Thank you all for making us feel so welcome, we have made some great friends.
