About the Owner
About Kirsty Green
Our Villa owners both live in U.K. and enjoy holidaying in Goa. However, both run successful businesses which means they find it hard to use their villa as much as they would like. By sharing their second homes with other holidaymakers it helps to cover the maintenance costs that come with having a second home abroad. The villas are managed by myself, Kirsty and my husband, Pammy. I am from UK and Pammy is from North India. We both live full time in Goa with our 2 daughters and are on hand to help with anything during your stay.
Why Kirsty Green chose Bardez
Villa 37 ' Castlegate' Owners. We are a small family business based in the UK & after several enjoyable holidays in Goa we decided to buy this villa, we looked at many but on build quality & location this is outstanding. We love the position of this villa, it offers great views, it is sheltered from the constant noise of taxis & holiday makers yet only a ten minute walk to the shopping and eating areas in Calangute & another slow ten minute walk to the beach. Our plan is to retire here, but still ten years to go therefore we decided to share our second home with discerning holiday makers. Stuart and Kath.
What makes this villa unique
Villa 41 'Posada' Owners. We always dreamed of a holiday home in the sun and Orchard Villa's is perfect. We bought the villa off plan so was able to influence the layout of our open plan kitchen & dining room. Orchard Villa's give us a peaceful retreat with all the noise & colour of Calangute just a few minutes walk away. Pat and Amanda

Activity and Interests
North Goa has a variety of beaches ranging from secluded and unspoilt at Tiracol 33 miles away and getting increasingly more commercial as you pass Arambol, Mandrem, Ashvem, Morjim, Vagator, Anjuna and reach Baga, Calangute and Candolim beach. The mainstay - miles of golden sand, hours of endless sunshine and oodles of yummy food and drink! And all of this just a 20 minute walk from your doorstep.
Dabolim is the only airport in Goa and is 44kms/27miles away from Calangute. The journey takes about an hour depending on the traffic. We can arrange for taxi pick up that costs around 10 pounds depending on the exchange rate.
There are transport options available for your stay, you can walk, take taxis, hire scooters/motorbikes, hire a car, or take the local bus (this is a recommended experience at least once during your stay).
Panjim City - 15kms/10miles, the capital of Goa.
Morjim - 17kms/10miles, a nesting and hatching habitat of the olive ridley turtle.
Ashvem - 20kms/12 miles, vast stretches of sand, scattered beach shacks and beach huts for an overnight stay under the stars.
Famous night bazaars of Arpora - 2kms/1mile, Saturday night, Indian and European handicrafts, food, drink and live music.
Anjuna flea market - 8kms/5miles, Wednesday, reach by boat or road and meander through the labyrinthine stalls.
If you do intend on driving a vehicle yourself you should bring an International Driving Permit with you along with your driving licence. These are valid for 12 months, for more details look at the AA website. Police are keen to stop tourists and check their papers, fines can become steep.
Goa is the only Indian state where gambling is legal and there are several casinos at some of the larger hotels and on boats in the Mandovi river (Panjim).
Things to do in Goa:
Dudhsagar waterfalls - the highest falls in India, particularly breathtaking at the end of monsoon season. A jeep will take you through some rough terrain and then you will have to walk to the falls where you can swim and feed the monkeys!
Spice plantation - learn about how the different spices grow, enjoy a tipple of feni with lunch served on banana leaves and try your hand at washing an elephant!
Anjuna Flea Market - every Wednesday
Saturday Night Market (2) in Arpora with live music and International food stalls
Relax, unwind and enjoy as much or as little as the mood takes you!
