About Rosie Parkes

This little barn is probably about 200 years old and was one of a number of stables/barns for the neighbouring manor house. It was converted to accomodation before we bought our house (which was a big stable). We are a friendly welcoming Island family and want you to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Rosie Parkes purchased this cottage in 2008

Why Rosie Parkes chose Isle of Wight

We are close to the town and amenities of Ryde, but completely quiet and in the countryside. We have open fields behind the property and a large garden with pond, chickens and vegetable plot. Because of our chickens and the family cats, any visiting dog needs to be well controlled.

On The Island there are many lovely beaches; Ryde has a wide expanse of golden sand at low tide, and is safe for small children. There is a dotto train, play area and paddling pool etc.

A great place to find total relaxation

We have just returned from Haylands Paddock and feel totally rejuvenated. The accommodation has everything you could wish for, Rosie and Richard make you feel so welcome from the outset and the setting is so pretty. The little welcome pack was a lovely touch. The island itself if great for walking with extensive and very well marked footpaths. All in all a memorable holiday in comfortable and reasonably priced accommodation.

This cottage is beautiful, comfortable, well-stocked (down to extra light bulbs!) and cosy. One of the best owners direct accommodation I've experienced.

Very friendly and helpful owners...Rosie ..we cannot thank you enough. Our stay in Isle of Wight was only enhanced by your and your husband's friendliness.

Thanks for lighting that fire for us!! We'll be actively spreading the word about your lovely cottage.

We had a fantastic week at Paddock Cottage. It is small but perfectly formed and had everything we needed for a comfortable and cozy week away in the middle of winter.

The welcome was fantastic and made the stay all the more special. I cannot recommend staying here highly enough.

This is a lovely little barn with everything you will need for a comfortable stay on this beautiful island. It is in a very quiet area so no problems with noise.

The owners were very homely and nothing was too much trouble for them in making our stay a very happy one.

You must get to speak to mum and dad while you are there, they are really the most charming people.
