About Denise Burridge

Peter & Denise Burridge now semi retired, share their time between their homes in the UK and San Roque. The fact that we can be in a different climate, culture and environment in just a few hours is an enormous benefit to us. Whilst we both play (poor) golf, the San Roque club resort is much more than just a golf location, its a lifestyle. The place is friendly, tranquil and secure and yet we can be in the hustle and bustle of beach or night life on the Costa del Sol in minutes, we love it here and hope you will too. Our villa is therefore our home and we really do want to make sure anyone choosing to rent with us will get the best possible experience of the house and the area, so please do contact us if you need any further information.

Why Denise Burridge chose Costa del Sol (Cadiz Province)

After visiting many parts of the globe for both business and pleasure Peter and Denise Burridge fell in love with the San Roque resort as a perfect location to own a second home.

The climate was a major consideration but we also like the fact that our Villa is set in an idyllic location in the peaceful and safe environment of a world class golf and leisure resort. We have a wide variety of activities and restaurants within just a few minutes walk of our home or we can jump in the car and be on the beach in a few minutes, Gibraltar in 20 mins, Marbella in 35 mins, Sevilla in 2hrs and even Morroco in under 3 hrs!

What makes this villa unique

Where do you start!! World class golf on your doorstep, wonderful views from a top quality villa where you can enjoy both indoor and outdoor living throughout the year. Horse riding within 800 yards, safe jogging and cycling around the resort, selection of good restaurants within a 5 mins walk and Tango's restaurant and Floridian style pool facilities giving you an alternative place to eat, drink, sunbath or simply mingle all day long. Wonderful scenery of cork forests inland or towards the sea, the beaches are just 10 -15 mins away. A bird watchers paradise with Golden eagles and other birds of prey, storks, ibis and many others varieties passing by each day. If that's not enough the villa is packed with TV's, Hi-Fi and internet along with a games room you will want to take photo's in!

Notes on accommodation: This is a privately owned house containing the owners furniture and personal possessions and we kindly request that you leave our home as you find it. The house has been fitted out to the very highest standard so please do not allow young children to play on the snooker table or use the TV's and Hifi which are extremely expensive and delicate, without proper adult supervision. The house is well stocked with foodstuffs, tea, coffee, sugar, condiments, sauces, cereals etc and cleaning materials and operates on a trust basis which works very well providing guests replace whatever is used. The house is fitted with a number of electric window & door shutters for security, for your children’s safety, please do not allow them to operate these without an adult present. Smoking is not permitted inside the villa Outside: The villa is surrounded by landscaped gardens (3,000m2) which include a large private swimming pool (11m x 7m) with sunbeds and cushions. Shower area, thatched chiringito dining, thatched BBQ and bar area with leopard skin stools. Please note that swimming pools are dangerous places for young children it is therefore essential that all children and non swimmers are properly supervised at all times when using the swimming pool. The owners accept no responsibility for the use of the pool. At the heart of the villa is an enclosed and spacious courtyard complete with cupid fountain and fairy lights. Comfy sofas and two further dining tables capable of seating up to 12 people make the courtyard an ideal place to relax or entertain in complete seclusion. Upstairs the villa has large private terraces offering superb views of the golf course and views of the sea in the distance Utility Room: Separate utility area with washing machine, tumble drier, large fridge freezer and access to cloths drying space in small courtyard Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Fresh linen, towels, beach towels and cleaning provided weekly. Additional cleaning can be made available on request. Other: Stylishly furnished glass curtained terrace provides magnificent views of the golf course for dining or relaxing. Thatched Chiringito & BBQ/ Bar in garden. Unique games room with full size snooker table, TV & bar. Peaceful & secluded andalucian courtyard

Fabulous location

Beautiful well equipped villa on a wonderful golf course. My family had a lovely stay and we didn't want to leave. We can't wait to book again for next year. It was really helpful to speak to the owners before we booked to make sure it was right for us.

Fantastic relaxing holiday in a superb location.

This is a beautiful relaxed location. The premises are absolutely georgous, the area with glass curtains is very useful as if there is a wind you can still sit "out" without being cold, the bedrooms are very well set out and the beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms are brilliant with plenty of hot water at all times. We will come back again.

Wonderful Stay

This is a lovely, spacious and tastefully furnished property with every facility we wanted. The pool area is beautiful with a great music system which was very relaxing. we loved it!

within 10 minutes drive of the villa you can reach the beaches of Alcadesia, Sotogrande and Torrequadiarro. Sotogrande offers seasonal catamaran sailing and at the port of Sotogrande a selection of water based activities such as fishing, diving and sailing courses can be found. Good local seafood food can be sampled in the many chiringitos and restaurants along and around the beaches in this area.

Travel:

Malaga airport is approx 1hr 15mins.

Gibraltar airport is approx 20 mins.

Jerez airport is approx 1hr 15 mins.

A large number of car hire companies service these areas and a taxi ride from Gibraltar is approx €25

Further Details:

There is a small supermarket situated at the bottom of the resort, some 2-3 mins in a car or a 10 min walk. Lidl, Mercadona and SuperCor all operate large supermarkets in Pueblo Nuevo offering both Spanish and quite a large range of English foods. The resort boasts 5 good restaurants, Japanese, Spanish, English and Italian. The golf club also offers good quality dining menus up to early evening. As well as the good selection of beaches nearby, the Port of Sotogrande has become a byword for chic living. With a marina full of expensive yachts, excellent restaurants and bars and some of the most exclusive Polo events in the world, Sotogrande is definitely the in place to be seen!
