A beautiful terraced cottage ideal for family holiday, crew let or as a corporate shore base in west Cowes. Full of character and sleeping 6 people it is equally suitable for weeks holiday, weekend getaway or a cosy Christmas and New Year break. Excellent location just 1 minutes walk behind the high-street, very close to marinas, shops, restaurants and pubs avoiding all Cowes infamous hills. Easily accessible on foot from high speed ferry. Two twin rooms, stunning double room and a modern bathroom. All linen, towels and a maid service (on leaving) are included to make your stay as easy as possible. The house has wireless broadband and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher. The living room has an LCD 32 inch free view TV and DVD. There is a small courtyard garden which is perfect for alfresco dining and relaxing.

Why Steve Chalker chose Isle of Wight

My wife and I recently completed our Day Skipper sailing qualifications and wanted to spend more time near the water. We fell in love with the energy and vibe in West Cowes that becomes so peaceful in winter. We love the tranquility of walking from the house along the waterfront whilst the kids play on the beaches and watching the boats sail by. A wave of relaxation hits us as we step aboard the High Speed Ferry knowing that we are truely leaving the rat race behind...even if only temporarily.

What makes this cottage unique

The property is ideally located right in the centre of Cowes, only a few minutes from shops, restaurants and the quaint highstreet. The warm and cosy 150 year old cottage is a perfect getaway and you feel amongst island life as soon as you arrive. There is no need to drive anywhere and walking in the sea air and watching the boats go by is so relaxing.

Close to all you need

This is the second time we have stayed her. You can not beat the location across the road from the high street but very quiet. Just a short walk to the shops and the sea front. Everything you need in a holiday home not just the normal 6 of everything lots of extras. The top bedroom is up very steep stairs and you do need to be carefull when going up and down. We would stay again

Great location

This property is in a great location in Cowes with shops and restaurants within 1 minute walk of the house.

There was a small problem when we arrived at 9pm as the house hadn't been cleaned or beds made up etc as the cleaning company thought we were arriving the next morning. Steve was really good and got in touch straight away with the cleaning company who were around by 10.15pm to make up beds for us.

Great location

Very nice well equipped house. Room for 6 adults. Very close to the high street but still quite. Parking permit works well. The stairs are steep so need to be careful when going up and down.

Beaches and marinas very close by.

Travel:

The property is 5 minutes walk from the high speed Cowes Ferry. Whilst the islands bus services are very good and frequent, a car is recommended for exploring further than Cowes itself. There is a public car park across the road, and visitor permits are available upon request for a small fee for utilising on street parking.

Distances:

Slap bang in the heart of Cowes itself - most of the island is only 20 mins away by car. There are innumerable attractions on the island including steam railway, adventure theme parks, zoo as well as more natural attractions of beautiful beaches, the Needles and Alum Bay.

Further Details:

The cottage contains lots of leaflets from local attractions as well as maps and charts of the local area for planning days inside and out.
