Apartment 12 Monkbridge Court, York City Centre - Central But Peaceful, Well-Equipped Two Bedroomed Apartment With Everything On The Doorstep
A bright and airy, stylishly furnished two bedroomed apartment set in a small courtyard development in central York with views across the rooftops to the Minster. The furniture is modern, and comfortable, media is high-tech, free-view, DVDs, I-Pod docks and good, free Wi-fi access. Bedlinen is high thread-count white linen, fluffy white towels, toiletries, high-powered hairdryer. The kitchen is well-equipped and has stocks of essential items. There is a supermarket close-by and restaurants/bars and shops are a three minute stroll away. York itself is a major tourist city with many attractions, medieval streets, museums, galleries and frequent festivals, a food festival in September, Viking Festival in February are just two. The apartment is central, it is in a quiet location with the benefit of on-site private parking within the planted courtyard. There is also a secure cycle store for those bringing cycles or hiring cycles. Cycles can be hired, delivered and picked up. WE regret we cannot accept children under 10. 3 night minimum booking.
About the Owner
Recently widowed, two adult children, well-travelled. Born in North Yorkshire and living locally, just outside York, for 38 years.
Teacher by profession but have experience of holiday properties for over 28 years.
Apartments have won the 'Best Self-Catering' in York twice, 2004 and 2013 and a runner up in 2006..

Activity and Interests
The beautiful North Yorkshire Coast is 1 hour by car. The Dales and Moors are all within easy reach.
York itself has many attractions with the Minster just a 5 minute walk and the bars/restaurants/nightlife very close.
Car is not necessary as train links are good and everywhere within the City is accessible by foot.
Leeds/Bradford Airport 40 minutes by car.
Manchester Airport 1 hour 30 minutes by car - also a direct train service to York from the airport.
London Kings Cross is 2 hours by train and Edinburgh is 2 hours 30 minutes.
Harrogate 21 miles - 40 minutes by train.
Leeds 27 miles - 30 minutes by train.
Sainsburys Supermarket very close - 2 minutes walk. All of the city centre shops within 5 minutes walk.

£100 is required at the time of booking with the balance payable six weeks prior to arrival.
Weekly bookings have a Friday changeover. Breaks can be Friday or Monday. Arrival is from 2 pm - we can accommodate guests arriving by train or from abroad with an earlier arrival if necessary. Departure is 10 am.

- Notes on accommodation: Due to the nature of the apartments and the mainly residential area we regret we are unable to accept children under 10 or pets. The apartment is also not suitable for single sex hen/stag parties. Outside: The apartment is part of a small courtyard development but the apartment itself has no private outside space. The apartment is on the first floor which is the top floor. It is an extremely light and airy apartment with a lovely rooftop view across to York Minster. All the historic attractions are within a 5 minute stroll. There is a convenient supermarket close by. Utility Room: Utility cupboard with iron, ironing board, airer. Supplemenatry heater/cool fan. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels are changed, beds made up and thorough cleaning on arrival and departure. Extra cleaning and linen change can easily be arranged. Daily, if necessary. Other: Large entrance hall with separate secure entrance into individual apartments - two floors and seven apartments
