Hearth of Venice, view over canals, terrace, 3 rooms, 2 bathroms

The apartment is located in the heart of Venice, between Rialto bridge and San Marco. There are two supermarkets just two minutes from the apartment (in Venice are rare).

The apartment is on the second floor and consists of a lobby, drawing room with two comfortable sofas and TV( the two windows of this room overlook the canal ), kitchen - dining room with a view over the bridges and the canal also when you sit at the table, one bedroom with a mullioned lancet window on the canal, a second bedroom with two single bed overlooking the Paradise arch, two bathrooms with shower and mansard room with terrace on the third floor (duplex flat).

The area is quiet and there are plenty of shops nearby in the 'calle' (street): supermarket, baker, pharmacy, antique bookshop, news-stand, restaurants, confectionery, the best ice- cream shop etc.

F.A.Q. : terrace, 2nd floor, luminous, air conditioning, internet access free, washing machine, dishwasher, microwaves, Satellite TV, a full kitchen and equipped, all linen for the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms, complete supply of table linen, bed linen and towels.

'This romantic corner of Venice with the Arch of Paradise was the source of inspiration for many poets, writers and photographers as Carl Spitzweg in 1832, John Ruskin, Frank Brangwyin in 1910, James Fergusson, the Alinari brothers (important Italian photographers ), The children-book writer Pinin Carpi wrote a book entitled 'Il ponte del Paradiso' ,

Why should you choose this apartment?: I am aware that it is not easy to rent a house in Venice where the market offers a great choice of apartments for rental.

I can say that my decision to buy this apartment in spite of its higher price in respect to other flats of the same size was due to the fact that I found it had some very special and unique features:

1) the fantastic view from all the windows over the canal . You see a canal crossing where the gondolas seem to slip under the building and you feel like living on a bridge in a romantic atmosphere.

2.)f the central location a a at five minute-walk from Sa Marco square and Rialto bridge

3) the terrace

4) the apartment is on the second floor and has a magnificent view.

5) the charming history of the calle and the Paradiso arch.

6) the 'calle del Paradiso' is very quiet and it is close to ' salizzada San Lio 'where you find all kind of shops

I would also like to say that the renovation was completed in 2015 and that the apartment was completely equipped with new furniture.

A deposit is not requested: we don't ask you to pay for a deposit at your arrival since we have never had any problems with our guests.

I am an architect and I put a great deal of passion in carrying out the restoration works. I saved all the original characteristics and I tried to recuperate as much as possible from the old decoration. For example the 'seminato ' floor - a kind of Venetian mosaic - was recreated according to the original pattern (but now it is perfectly even, a very rare thing in Venice!), the ceiling rafts are the old ones and have been perfectly restored, the bedrooms parquet floors are made of elm- wood.,

It was a great pleasure for me to restore this apartment and I would like to rent it out to people who will appreciate it and think of it as their home in Venice.

A prefect apartment in Venice

We have just had the most fantastic 4 nights in Venice in this home.

A beautiful property in a great location. We didn't want to leave.

The photos do not do this property justice. Beautifully finished, it doesn't get any better than this

We can't wait to return.

Wonderful apartment and location

My husband, our two teenaged daughters and I had a wonderful stay at this lovely apartment. The pictures do not do it justice; the listing description was accurate in every way. It is charmingly decorated, very well equipped, extremely comfortable, and the views over the canals and roofs of Venice are a delight. It is perfectly situated to tour this most beautiful city, with many restaurants nearby as well as a well stocked grocery store and excellent bakeries. Carmen, Laura and Luca are all very helpful, kind and welcoming to their guests. I hope we can return someday.

Fantastic location

Atmospheric location and very conveniently situated for exploring Venice. Supermarket very handy. Great local restaurant immediately below property. We have had a truly amazing week. Communication with owner and housekeepers was great. Luca met us at the apartment and also spoke to the water taxi driver from the airport so that we arrived in the correct location. We are a family of 5 so it was great having 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

Would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Venice.

Great location and everything we needed

Firstly I have to say thank you to the owners for the helpful and efficient comma. Score we even arrived at the apartment. They let us know how to get there from the airport and someone met us straight from the water taxi to take us to the apartment. The location was perfect - in between Rialto and St Marks and with lots of restaurants and shops nearby (much cheaper than other areas) We walked to the supermarket and bakery each morning to pick up some breakfast. The apartment had everything we needed- towels, bedding, hair drier included and the heating worked really well. We didn't get to use the terrace as the weather wasn't the best. The kitchen is small but we eventually found all we needed and it's great to have a dishwasher. Bedrooms were ok - nothing luxurious but again, clean and comfortable. We weren't able to have a late check out as other guests were arriving but we were able to leave our bags in the apartment until early afternoon until we left for the airport which was much appreciated. Overall we had a great time and would recommend the apartment for its location and value for money. Thank you :)

Gondole Galore!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Paradiso apartment. It is a nice, quiet location --- but Piazza San Marco and Rialto Bridge are easily accessible and equidistant. The apartment is well laid out for two couples, and well provisioned. It is just as nice as pictured. It was very relaxing to hear the gondoliers, shouting "Hoy" as they approached the blind corner canal intersection just below the apartment. Very picturesque and charming.

Car: not necessary

The flat is strategically located near the museums and the theaters, at less than a 5 minute-walk from both San Marco square and Rialto bridge, close to Campo Santa Maria Formosa.

The area is one of the oldest in Venice and is full of history.

'This romantic corner of Venice with the Arch of Paradise inspired many artists, writers and photographers..

The view over the canal crossing is breathtaking from all the five windows of the apartment in all seasons and also in rainy weather,

For centuries gondolas and boats carrying all kind of goods have been passing quietly on the canals steered by the skilful boatsmen of Venice. It is the same life of old Venice going on.

The watertaxi from the airport can stop close to the apartment door, while line 1 or 2 of water bus from Roma square or Railway station stops at Rialto bridge from where you can easily wallk to the flat.

The 'calle del Paradiso' is very quiet and is close to 'salizzada San Lio' where all kind of shops and two supermarkets can be found,
