About the Owner

I am a working mother of two. My children love walking and exploring. Our cottage provides a home away from home, perfect to get away from the stresses and strains of work and school. It provides us with a place to spend quality time together and unwind. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.

Lovely cottage, really enjoyed our family break

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time, loved the set up of the property and really enjoyed cosy evenings by the fire. Short drives to excellent day trip venues: Aldeburgh and Southwold particularly popular with the kids.

Country Cottage

  • 4 of 5

We stayed as a group of 6 friends for a long weekend in this cottage. The cottage is well located to explore the numerous villages in the vicinity, we went to some lovely pubs and restaurants nearby (need a car/taxi) and the cottage is great if you're after peace and quiet. The cottage is well equipped with games and jigsaws which we also enjoyed, the kitchen was a bit dated but fully functional, overall it was a pleasant stay.

A lovely property very well equipped,

  • 5 of 5

Our friends and ourselves spent a lovely week in this cottage, accommodation was good, the area delightful. The cottage catered very well for our needs, with two separate wings it enabled us to have our own bedrooms and bathrooms which is something we always opt for. Highly recommended

Beautiful, well equipped, comfortable cottage with lots to explore in the area

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was suitable for six of us who were celebrating our friend's retirement. No couples but we were happy to share the two bedrooms

with single beds whilst the retiree had the double bed in the magnificent en suite bedroom in the extension! Everyone said how comfortable the

beds were. Cottage was clean and well maintained. All mod cons but the weather turned unseasonably chilly so we collected wood from the beach and used the wood burner in the lounge to get cosy. Helpful communication with the owner. Had meal in the fish restaurant in Orford which was friendly, good service and excellent food..Went to Sutton Hoo and enjoyed local walks but unfortunately we were not well prepared clotheswise for the sudden fall in temperature to 6 degrees! But cottage so comfortable we enjoyed being there and catching up with each other and doing 1000 piece jigsaw! Would definitely recommend to family and friends and all of us said we would like to come back at a similar time next year.

Lovely weekend

  • 5 of 5

On the whole everything fine, spacious, comfortable and well appointed and we had a lovely time.

Small gripes, or rather 'would have been nice' if the house was warm on arrival and at the risk of sounding petty there were a couple of light bulbs not working.

Also coming back at night a security light would have been good when navigating the path and steps. Thank you.

Owner's Response: So glad you enjoyed the house! Thank you for letting us know about the lights. We've changed the bulbs. Also we will recommend future visitors bring a torch as it can get very dark on winter nights!
