About James Ede

I am a man of 65 with 2 married children, I live in France looking after my 94 year old mother.

James Ede purchased this cottage in 2005

Why James Ede chose Le Faouet area

My parents bought the property in 2005, they are now in their 90s, I came over to look after them and the gite, fell in love with rural France, the French people, and the laid back lifestyle

What makes this cottage unique

The property offers peace and quiet, something hard to find in today’s world but near enough to the towns to care

Lovely location close to a villag

  • 5 of 5

This is the second year running we have booked this cottage and we have booked again for next year. You will not find a more accommodating owner. 6 of us travelled here on vintage scooters. The accommodation is very comfortable and situated in interesting and historic grounds surrounded by open countryside. The village is close by. We are already looking forward to out third visit.

Peaceful Location, stunning surroundings, perfect!

  • 5 of 5

The property presents itself beautifully, the downstairs living area and bedrooms are very spacious. The kitchen adequately provides all the crockery and cutlery etc you will ever need . The owner Jim was very pleasant friendly and helpful. The cottage isn't within walking distance to a town so a drive by car is essential to shops, still the nearest big supermarket is only a 10 mins drive. The loveliest sandy beach (Guidel Plages) is about 40 mins drive away. We will definitely come back, we have not long returned from a 7 night stay and we were so impressed it ticked all our holiday boxes. Perfect for a young family and a grandmother. Highly recommended.
