Studio Apartment in Les Arcs 2000 - Ideal For Couple Or 1 Or 2 Child Family, Snow Front, ski in ski out Close Ski-School, restarants and Services, easy access

Although we initially chose our studio in Arcs 2000 for its central location, views and south-facing balcony, we now also appreciate how practical it is to be on the snow front, ski-in/ski-out :no pushing on poles at the end of the day! Decorated in a warm but modern mountain style (no plastic chairs or tacky furniure!), we offer 15% reductions on your ski-hire, can organise your linen-rental and are happy to deduct 10% for 2-person rentals (outside of school holidays) as well as on second week of fortnightly+ lets. You can watch weekly fireworks, 'descente aux flambeaux' from the comfort of the balcony and even keep an eye on the kids tobogganing in the evening or going off on their lessons. The Ski school is just across the square and shops, restaurants, nursery, ski-hire etc can be accessed from inside or outside the residence a free gondola takes you down to 1950 for even more restaurants and top end boutiques. There is also a bowling alley with a lively snooker area, games, computers and a natural outside ice-rink. Easy access from the UK by flydrive to Lyon or Geneva or snow-train Eurostar to Bourg St Maurice and funicular and free shuttles up to Arc 2000. Although you can book with the website via 'request booking' (+fee), please feel free to enquire with no obligations or for fee-free direct-with-owner booking and we will be happy to answer you within the day! Secure transfer UK and French payments since 2009 . Our rates range from 350 euros per week (low season) through 450 January, 650 Christmas, 850 New Years and Feb school holidays and 500 in March and Easter. We take all enquiries seriously and are happy to answer any questions about the resort or flat with no obligation. After marrying a French chef and working and travelling around the globe, I finally put down my roots in Provence, in the Var vineyard region over 15 years ago. An English language lecturer at Toulon’s 2 Engineering Colleges I often travel around France and abroad with my 2 children in the summer to upkeep their English and widen their horizons. We love the reaction our friends and guests have when they visit our 'coin de paradis' and we hope you'll like it and look after it too as it is our year-round home! We also have a studio in the Alps for winter ski rentals and give discounts to those wishing to use both facilities.

Why cally arthey chose Bourg-Saint-Maurice

Having skied in the all the major French resorts, once we decided to have a permanent base it was really important for us to consider a resort where we'd never run out of pistes and where there is guaranteed snow even in April so we can ski during the French Easter holidays. We also were aware of the value of being able to drop the kids off to ski school at the foot of the residence and be able to keep an eye on them as we overlook the runs. At the end of the day there's nothing better than lounging on the south-facing balcony with a vin chaud and I never tire of the mountain view. Although we personally drive up from the South Coast, we have since realised the convenience to UK skiers who fly-drive or take the Eurostar snow train/funicular and don't have to drive all the way!

What makes this apartment unique

The resort is convenient as you can park in the underground carpark or the free outside carparks and free shuttles/lifts link 1600, 1800, 1950 and 2000, Arcs 2000 was our final choice for the altitude (great and late snow) and its variety of activities linked to close-by 1950 resort. Classic rentals in these studios are for 5 , but we have chosen to limit to families of 4 to have less wear and tear and make for a more comfortable living space. We have taken all that orange dark wood out that is so typical of many out-dated rentals but tried to keep the mountain feel with bright modern but solid mountain deco.....we hope you like it and have been happy to share our flat with ski-loving careful guests for the past 7 seasons... bon ski !

Lovely apartment - all you need for a ski holiday

As we walked in we all said "what a lovely apartment". Well presented, great layout (the bunk beds were not squeezed in to the corridor!), somewhere to store skis, boots and helmets, nice personal touches. The access to lifts excellent, Les Arcs is a lovely little place, with enough to keep you entertained if you have the energy after a day on the slopes. We also enjoyed having lunch breaks sat in the sun on the balcony. We self-catered and found the kitchen well equipped and the local store with enough variety for the week. The owner was very helpful, with regular messages and thoughtful additional tips. We would very much recommend this apartment and will come again.

Super emplacement, studio charmant et propriétaire avenant !

Super, bon rapport qualité / prix pour ce studio bien équipé avec un balcon sud... avec transats donc agréable et aussi facile pour rentrer manger le midi. On a apprécié les petits plus comme stock de DVDs, revues ( un peu datées par contre) sèche-gants, sèche-cheveux et la façon dont le studio a été agencé pour que les enfants soient au calme le soir ( couloir et rideau séparent le salon/ lit adultes du coin nuit des enfants). On a l'habitude de studios moins bien pensés. On a déjà reservés pour l'année prochaine !

Perfect family ski flat!

If you are looking for a good value, micro flat for a family of 4 ski trip, then this ticks all the boxes. We have 2 children who were in the ESF ski school, it was their 3rd weeks skiing.

The resort is a super family ski area, with more that enough local skiing for mum & dad to have a mornings ski together, then get back in time for the ski school pick up. We also brought discovery passes which allowed my wife and I to ski solo and disappear over the wide Paradiski area for 1 day each. Plenty of safe local runs to enjoy family skiing together in the afternoons.

The flat is great. Yes its small, and the odd knob comes off in your hand, but its someones home, and you genuinely feel privileged to share it. Sure there are a few things which are not ideal (like having to hold the shower over your head), but its beautifully kept, the beds are comfy, it has everything you need, the communication from the owner is utterly brilliant, and without doubt a great holiday experience. Its not 5 star money, but I have given it 5 stars as its a 5 star service and I think priced sensibly for what you get.

The ski school meet is literally outside the flats south facing balcony. It couldn't be better. The services in the resort are good, there are bars, restaurants, fast food kiosks, and shops all locally, its clean, well priced and a decent place.

The only problem about giving a glowing well deserved review of the flat, the owner and the experience, is that its likely to increase the popularity and reduce the availability for our return trip!

Owner's Response: Thanks for the vote of confidence, glad you enjoyed your stay! The pull-ou bed knobs have been sorted and thanks for the idea of gorilla glue! We certainly will look into possibility of putting a shower bar tiled-wall side of bath if you found this inconvenient as it cannot be fixed to the glass wall. It would indeed be more user friendly to have option of hand held OR wall-fixed shower head, thanks for that feedback ! Cally.

Lovely apartment piste-side

Lovely apartment with south facing views over the Arc 2000 ski area. Even when you are in the apartment you still feel like you are part of the action because the large picture window has uninterrupted views of the ski area. Ideal with young children because it is easy just to ski in and out when they need a rest. As with all the apartments of this genre, they are compact, but provide all you need. Very quiet at night and the black-out curtains meant it was also dark too, so we had a good night's sleep every night. The owner was very helpful with info when preparing for our holiday.

Sunny and well located accommodation

Great and convenient location and very well appointed. The owners were very helpful, providing good advice and organising our linen request on our behalf before arrival and having a friendly and convenient point of contact. It was great sun baking on the balcony after a day's skiing. An added bonus was the owners taking direct interest in maximising our holiday experience.
