CATERED ACCOMMODATION - WINTER AND SUMMER (SKIING/CYCLING/WALKING)

CATERED SKI HOLIDAYS/ CATERED SUMMER HOLIDAYS

Winter & Summer. Catered chalet.

Includes breakfast, afternoon tea and cake and an evening meal with wine.

A typical evening meal would consist of:-

Tarragon Chicken, Dauphinoise Potatoes & Selection of Vegetables

We are located just off the main road that leads up to La Plagne, and just two minutes away from the lift pass office.

SNOWSHOEING, SKI DE FOND

If you want to try something different we can advise you on walking or snow shoeing. There are lots of pisted tracks in resorts to follow or for the more adventurous there are lots of areas away from resort where you can go for a day or an afternoon with a guide. When the snow is good, just two minutes from our house there is a Ski de Fond Track that goes for about 14k. It's quite a flat easy track that follows the river and best of all it's free to use.

If you do arrive by car, we have parking here but you don't have to worry about getting to the slopes as we will take you and pick you up again at whatever time you want each day.

We as the owners live in which means we are always on hand to help with anything you might need or give you advice on the area too.

We only accommodate 6 people so that means it's a very comfortable intimate atmosphere here. We get to know our guests really well and by the time they leave they have usually become friends and we hope you will too.

The property is configured over three floors. On the ground floor is the entrance with 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. On the first level you will find a homely kitchen/diner and a comfy lounge with wood burner and TV. You just need to kick off your shoes, put your feet up and relax. On the top floor there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. The larger bedroom has a TV and balcony. All rooms have great views. Our accommodation is a real home from home.

About Christine Hedges

We first bought a holiday apartment here about 12 years ago and then decided to try living out here for a year just to see how it went. Well we are still here. We sold our apartment and bought a house which took a couple of years to renovate. Having lived in the area for so long we are familiar with all the resorts here.

Why Christine Hedges chose La Plagne area

The house is located in the village of Macot-la-Plagne. It is a pretty village located a short distance from the ski resort of La Plagne. After viewing about 50 other properties over a quite a few years, we knew this was the one we were going to buy. We are close to the ski resort yet also close to all the amenities, which is great for the summer too.

What makes this house unique

We are ideally located for many resorts in the area. Although we are only a few minutes drive from La Plagne, access to The 3 Valleys, Les Arcs, Ste Foy, La Rosiere, Tignes and Val D'Isere are all possible. The owners run the property and having lived here for many years they can offer lots of advice and information on the area. Being located in a village is ideal for both winter and summer.

An excellent welcome after a long drive down turned into a gem of a week. Accommodation, food, skiing and conversation were excellent for adults and children alike. Chris and Les couldn't have been better hosts.

Set away from the main town (which was part of the attraction being a family of three children aged 11 to 8) they drove us to and picked us up from the slopes at any time we wished. If we wanted sandwiches for lunch, we got them. If we wanted to be picked up early, we were so. If we wanted more wine, well...thankfully the mountain air quickly cleared the head the next day!

Wonderful Christmas sking break

We are a family of four with daughters 15 and 21 and stayed at maison Lennox for Christmas sking . The owners Chris and Les have lovingly converted a old French farmhouse into a warm clean and welcoming home.

Chris is a excellent host and provided us with lovely meals and packed lunches everyday .

Our bedrooms and bathroom were at the top of the house and were as the rest of the house clean and beautifully furnished. They had lovely views too.

Les had a good knowledge of the ski area and transported us to the slopes everyday.

Although there was liitte snow lower down , we were able to ski higher up. Also as I am a non skier , Chris was able to show me walks .

Chris and Les are perfect hosts both friendly and helpful. We therefore thoroughly enjoyed a most relaxing holiday and would recommend to anyone thinking of booking .

Madison Lennox

We had our first Summer Holiday in the French Alps and chose Maison Lennox, in the village of Macot, for our base. The house is beautiful and decorated to the highest standard. Christine and Les were brilliant hosts and went out of their way to ensure that every member of our family had a really enjoyable holiday. The food was good and adapted to meet individual likes and dislikes. The location was perfect, just minutes away from everything on offer. There is a 14k bike track running along the river, which is just minutes from the village. We also tried the White Water Rafting on the river. Five minutes in the car is the lake, with picnic area and lots of activities for the children. A week really wasn't long enough and there were still lots of activities that we didn't have time to try.

Christine and Les helped us with lots of information on what was in offer and nothing was too much trouble.

We loved it so much we are going back.

Perfect holiday in a fully catered ski chalet

I chose this particular chalet from the pictures on the website and the informative interaction I'd had with the owner Christine before I booked. The chalet itself was just lovely, extremely well maintained and finished to a very high standard. We had two double rooms upstairs with a shared bathroom, the views from which were stunning.

Christine and Les could not have been better hosts, being extremely attentive and helpful. The food Christine prepared every day was delicious, with everyones needs and tastes catered for.

Every day Les was on hand to run us up the mountain to the ski resort (about 10 minutes drive) and then during the day I would text him with a time to collect us. The ski resort itself was fantastic with skiing to suit everyone's ability. There was a good choice of restaurants and bars to visit during the day, our favourite being a place called Fiftys.

If you are looking for a skiing holiday in a catered chalet with some great skiing on your doorstep, you will not be disappointed with Maison Lennox.

"Home from Home" - superb hosts :-)

We are a family of 4 with young teenagers and would highly recommend staying at Maison Lennox. The accommodation is spacious, warm and comfortable. I loved the peace & quiet and waking up to the stunning mountain views every day. The kids got to use the TV and wifi so they were happy!

Christine and Les are charming hosts, are a mine of local information and know the local area and ski resort inside out. The food was delicious and varied - we asked not to be 'over-fed' (as often happens on a chalet holiday) so Christine catered for this perfectly. Les was our 'happy chauffeur' for the week and the short trip to the ski lifts each day was not a problem at all. We hadn't skied in La Plagne before and found it to be scenic with challenging runs to suit everyone. We took the 1 day extension pass for Les Arcs but in fact didn't really need it as La Plagne is more than big enough for a week.

This was the most relaxing ski holiday ever. A real 'home from home' - you can even have breakfast in your PJs and no one minds!

We loved our time staying at with Christine & Les at Maison Lennox so much that we booked for next year too! Would highly recommend.

Highlight of the week was an evening at the Olympic Bob Sleigh course :-)

PS. I think this would be a gorgeous place to stay in the summer too.

Perfect place to enjoy the mountains!

We stayed with Chris & Les for 6 days over Christmas holidays 2013 and were delighted with our choice. A warm welcome, beautiful rooms, delicious food, helpful and kind hosts - you can't get better than that! We will certainly return either for a winter holiday or for summer in the mountains. The region is great for skiing / boarding & for non- skiers too. Both Les & Chris know all the best areas for skiing ( for all levels ) or snowshoeing. Just thinking about the holiday now makes me want to return!
