Could not have been better

We loved this holiday cottage so much we wished we could take it with us when we left. It is beautiful inside and decorated in a stylish timeless way. It has a lovely mezzanine floor with a double bed right under the pointed roof. When there was rain at night on a couple of the nights we were there, you could hear it pattering on the roof over your head from the comfort of the bed. The wood burning stove created a cosy and romantic setting in the evenings when we relaxed after cooking a meal. It felt so peaceful and the hosts Jo and Steve were very friendly. The surrounding scenery was stunning, I could hardly believe it when I opened the curtains in the mornings. I would definitely recommend it, it has a fond place in my memories and I am so glad we chose it as a place to stay.

Cosy yet spacious holiday let for two

  • 5 of 5

Lovely barn conversion giving a cottage kind of feel with a log burner, fully functional kitchen, wifi and fabulous views of Llanberis and Snowdon (if the cloud ever lifts).

The owner's directions were clear and easy to follow. I probably wouldn't want to navigate the drive up to the house in a low-sprung sports car but our Qashqai didn't have a problem. There's two laybys at the bottom of the drive for the faint of heart.

Bathroom is clean and tidy, electric shower and well ventilated. The bath is tiny, but that doesn't really matter because it would take forever to fill with the hot water system anyway.

Anyone seeking a home from home in easy reach of Snowdonia, the Welsh castles and the delights of North Wales would do well to consider this place.

We had a wonderful stay. It was clean and cosy, and we had very clear directions on how to find it. We had an evening greeting from the owner and we were made to feel very welcome.
