Cottage in Ludlow, Shropshire, England - Superbly Renovated Cottage In Idyllic Rural Setting Overlooking A Large Pond With Its Own Garden

Mill Cottage is a spacious country cottage furnished to a high standard. Offering generously sized bedrooms and a sun room and patio overlooking a beautiful garden perfect for relaxing and barbecuing. The cottage is well equipped featuring satellite television (Sky), wifi and all the usual appliances. Approached by its own drive it has ample parking for several vehicles. Situated on the Shropshire/Herefordshire border and just 10 miles from historic Ludlow it is the perfect location from which to explore Shropshire and the Welsh Borders. Ludlow is renowned for its gastronomy and is famous for its Shakespearean and food festivals as well as a large number of antique fairs. There are a number of beautiful walks straight from the door, a renowned downhill bike track (Hopton Castle) 10 minutes cycle away and opportunities for fishing, riding and cycling.

About the Owner

Born in Shropshire, the owners have a large family and an equally large collection of animals. They bought Mill Cottage four years ago and have enjoyed the challenge of restoring the cottage and its grounds. As a family we enjoy a number of outdoor pursuits all of which are readily available locally.

Renowned downhill cycling track 10 minutes cycle from the cottage. Oaker Wood Leisure (13 miles away) can provide quad biking, paint balling, rafting and clay pigeon shooting.

Visit the Assembly Rooms in Ludlow for local cinema and theatre or for a more extensive choice Shrewsbury is 26 miles away. Within 5 minutes there are two good restaurants The Jolly Frog at Leintwardine well known for its seafood and home-made pizzas and the The Lion also at Leintwardine.   • Notes on accommodation: Whilst the garden is enclosed and suitable for children and dogs it must be noted that there is a large pond at the bottom. Outside: Patio with outdoor table and chairs, gas barbecue and sun loungers. Knot garden to the side and steps leading down to a large pond and beautiful view beyond. Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board and iron. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels are included in the price and will be changed after 1 week. For guests staying for more than a week the property can be cleaned as required. Please inquire for details. Other: Front hall with sofa and chair. Large back hall with tiled floor and plenty of room for coats and boots.
