Set in the most glorious countryside, surrounded by rolling fields, woodland and 180 acres of farmland with grazing cattle, red kites soaring overhead and a wealth of interesting trees, flora and fauna. Beautifully converted to an exceptionally high standard from the original 17th Century barns, the two barns have a contemporary, yet comfortable and homely feel. The craftsmen builders have retained the original oak beams, and some of the stonework. The owners are very happy to help guests make the most of their stay and have plenty of local information and recommended places to visit in the area. A paradise for walkers, photographers and explorers of all the area has to offer, plenty to experience, whether it is riding, cycling, climbing, dining, water sports or just chilling to recharge your batteries we can provide it.
Bryan & Fiona have farmed at Pentregwyn for 33 years. It is a beef producing farm where they breed Show Potential commercial cattle. They have 40 breeding cows and a small pedgree herd of Limousin cattle. They have 3 grown up children and The Bull Pens are a new venture started in August 2011.
Fiona Jones purchased this barn in 2011
The conversion was started in July 2010 and took 12 months to complete. Bryan chose his builders carefully, knowing they were craftsmen, including his eldest son.
The building has been done to an exceptionally high standard.
For anyone who loves fresh air, space and glorious views The Bull Pens is the place for you. A recent guest quoted 'I have discovered heaven'.
There is so much to do in the area whether you enjoy sport, adventure, walking or relaxing, the Brecon Beacons National Park has it all.
Although The Bull Pens are 5 miles from the main road, 20 minutes and you are in Brecon. We are an hour from the Severn Bridge and 50 minutes from Cardiff making it far enough into the countryside but close enough to civilisation if needs be.
Our farm has direct access to the new Epynt Way, a 40 mile walk and is situated in the second best star-gazing spot in UK.
