Guestbook comments from the owner

"I would highly recommend this property to anyone who likes to base themselves in a peaceful location to get away from it all, yet be close enough to such a wide variety of activities and sights for when you feel like you've got the energy. One thing we are both agreed on though was we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would definitely go back, but for 2 weeks this time. One week to explore, and one week to relax and lounge by the pool."

A.K.Fraser July 2012

"Loved the house, weather and area! Enjoyed days out then returning home to cool off in the pool. Would love to revisit when the gardens have been landscaped too. Thanks for sharing your home!"

Great property

We had a fabulous week. The weather was perfect

We have stayed in villas all over France and this is the best one we have ever stayed in.

A lovely welcome pack was very much appreciated.

Villa was in a fantastic location in the middle of vineyards. Stunning views. Villa is very modern and beautifully presented throughout.

Has a huge flat screen TV and DVD player which my teenage children appreciated along with good wifi.

Luxury towels and bedding provided

The owner was so good at replying straight away to our emails. Very courteous and helpful.

The pool was so welcomed in the very hot afternoons.

We enjoyed our week and were very sad to leave

We returned very relaxed and really hope to return next year.

Review of Le Fizzerie

  • 4 of 5

We had a very enjoyable stay at Le Fizzerie which was clean and spacious and was set in a very pleasant position, with gorgeous views over the nearby countryside. We were about 2 miles from some very good local shops with a small playground for children and good amenities. The house itself was set in about an acre with an above ground pool which was clean, the garden would more be described as a field, but it did have lots of fruit trees. The kitchen was very large with lots of windows and french doors bringing in lots of light and air. The downstairs of the property was very big and felt open plan, the upstairs was smaller, but still three decent sized double bedrooms with comfy beds, and two good working showers and bath. The Wifi worked well, the only downside being the non-UK television, when we expected there to be Sky, however we used the dvd player and watched films instead. Overall we would recommend this house to others, loved the countryside and if you don't mind driving or biking to shops then this is a lovely place. The drive way and garden could be a bit better maintained however the place itself is very rustic and French. Very good service from the owner and very accessible. We biked around the area which was beautiful, and drove to Carcassonne and Narbonne and the town of Limoux. We love France and will definitely return to this area.

A great villa in a lovely village

  • 5 of 5

The villa is lovely and set amongst the vineyards on the edge of a small village. The villa was very clean and very well equipped and in fact we couldn't think of anything that was missing! The pool was also fine quite big for an above ground pool and very welcome on those hot days. There were also fruit trees in the garden so we had some truly delicious plums! Just to note that there is no bar in the village and the pizza place mentioned in other reviews is in a village a short drive away (very tasty pizzas). Sadly we didn't have a clear night to view the stars but I think from other reviews it is a great place for a bit of stargazing on a clear night. It is also well located for trips to the coast (a bit of a drive but worth it), the Pyrenees and the Cathar castles.
