Beautiful, lovingly restored stone farmhouse comprising a large chalet sleeping 13 in 5 bedrooms on 2 floors : 3 doubles, 1 triple and a family room, with 3 new bathrooms. Chez Natole is a real home from home and something just a bit different from the usual commercial let with new kitchen, a wealth of original features, exposed beams and stone walls, wood burning stove, cosy new sofas and amazing panoramic views. Walk to shop, bar and restaurant and only minutes' drive to closest ski slopes, large supermarket and shops.

Brand new hand built kitchen, granite work surface, all new appliances. Granite topped bar with stools. Gorgeous dual aspect sitting room with new sofas, free WiFi, iPod docking station and TV for DVDs and DVD library and views over valley below. Dining table with benches. Wood burning stove and cosy underfloor heating. South facing garden and terrace with BBQ and garden furniture. Books, toys and games.

Tranquil haven at any time of the year. Superb walking, biking from the house. Nearby golf. Half an hour to Evian and Lake Geneva. Huge range of local summer activities.

About the Owner

After some time looking (and many years wishing)we bought Chez Natole at Christmas 2011 as our family home in Europe and as something of an antidote to our life in the Middle East. We originally bought it as a place to ski from-and the skiing is fabulous- but have been struck by the tranquillity and beauty of the place each time we have been here and by how much Morzine and area have to offer. The walking is magnificent and we have just discovered mountain biking! There is for us something quite magical about sipping that first morning coffee curled in a window watching the sunrise over the snowy mountains opposite or on a summer's evening sitting out on the terrace with a glass of wine listening to the cow bells. What else can I say? We love it. We hope you will too.

Authentic chalet, ideal for us, homely feel

This authentic chalet was ideal for us as friends sharing. Its homely feel and lay out make it a convivial place to be with companions. The kitchen really is well equipped and again, easy for sharing the cooking and perfect in every way, and we made good use of it. Love the basket for potatoes and onions just like home! The terrace outside much used by the smokers and drinkers in the evening. We never got to play table tennis but wanted to..and to have your film collection was great. We were warm and cozy there with the Godin ( wood burning stove) in the sitting room. We would only ever choose a chalet with a bath so this chalet had everything for us. The Hamlet is peaceful, was always easy to get to by car- no traffic. A huge success for us and we would rent the chalet again Thankyou. Carl and Paula

A home away from home

Chez Natole is a beautiful hamlet within driving distance of the fantastic ski region of Port du Soleil. The hamlet really feels like a home. It is very warm and comfortable with ample space. Perfect for a relaxing break in the French mountains. It is exceptionally well stocked with cooking equipment and the owners are very helpful.

From the Owner

We wanted to be near Morzine and the Portes du Soleil but away from the noisy streets and nightlife and at the same time not isolated. The thriving village of Seytroux with its shop,restaurants and bars was just what we were looking for: a real french village community, 15 minutes' easy drive from the pistes at the heart of the ski region linking to Les Gets, Chatel and Avoriaz, with amazing walking and biking direct from the door and with the most sensational views over the valley and the mountains. Chez Natole is in a glorious elevated sunny position and we loved it on first sight : a very pretty traditional Savoyard farmhouse with beams and plenty of exposed wood and stone and the original wood burning stove. What you will find is a somewhere unlike most on the rental market- a real family home in the Alps which we have tried to equip with everything you might need on your holiday especially in the kitchen- which is my husband's domain!

Located in Seytroux (with bar, shop, restaurant and cafes), couple kms to St Jean D'Aulps (large supermarket,banks, local shops, tourist office , lovely restaurants and other facilities) and 8 kms to Morzine with extensive shopping and all usual facilities of fashionable ski resort. Summer bus from Seytroux. Ski bus from St Jean. Many taxi and transfer companies locally which can also be pre booked to offer daily transfers to skiing.

Further Details:

Chez Natole is in a lovely village location close to amenities and yet providing a more tranquil and more economic base from which to explore the Portes du Soleil than nearby busy Morzine. The skiing is absolutely fabulous and the house is also a superb base for walking and mountain biking. Well sign posted and hugely extensive Alpine pathways.

Gorgeous all year round.

The house is offered on a self- catered basis although our chalet managers, Total Chalet Services, can offer full or part catering as well as grocery deliveries, welcome pack and babysitting.
