About Nikki

After some time looking (and many years wishing)we bought Chez Natole at Christmas 2011 as our family home in Europe and as something of an antidote to our life in the Middle East. We originally bought it as a place to ski from-and the skiing is fabulous- but have been struck by the tranquillity and beauty of the place each time we have been here and by how much Morzine and area have to offer. The walking is magnificent and we have just discovered mountain biking! There is for us something quite magical about sipping that first morning coffee curled in a window watching the sunrise over the snowy mountains opposite or on a summer's evening sitting out on the terrace with a glass of wine listening to the cow bells. What else can I say? We love it. We hope you will too.

Nikki purchased this chalet in 2011

Why Nikki chose Seytroux

We wanted to be near Morzine and the Portes du Soleil but away from the noisy streets and nightlife and at the same time not isolated. The thriving village of Seytroux with its shop, restaurants and bars was just what we were looking for: a real french village community, 15 minutes' easy drive from the pistes at the heart of the ski region linking to Les Gets, Chatel and Avoriaz, with amazing walking and biking direct from the door and with the most sensational views over the valley and the mountains. Chez Natole is in a glorious elevated sunny position and we loved it on first sight : a very pretty traditional Savoyard farmhouse with beams and plenty of exposed wood and stone and the original wood burning stove. What you will find is a somewhere unlike most on the rental market- a real family home in the Alps which we have tried to equip with everything you might need on your holiday especially in the kitchen- which is my husband's domain!

What makes this chalet unique

Although the house does boast a wealth of original features and always, even in winter, feels warm and cosy, the real winning feature for us was its position. We never tire of the beautiful views and utter tranquility of the location.

"Good birdwatching even from inside this warm, cosy house.. walks quite wonderful. All the facilities a large party could need. Magical to walk across snowy fields or on pathway to friendly bar." Beth and Andy.

Lovely farm house chalet. Cosy and comfortable.

  • 5 of 5

This is our second time here for a skiing holiday with our family. The chalet has that home from home feeling. You will need your own transport, but we like being out the way and driving about 15 mind to the slopes. The chalet has slow cookers and racallete machines should you self cater. We love it and it’s perfect for our group.

Lovely chalet, quiet location, very comfortable

  • 4 of 5

We very much enjoyed our stay at Le Sey. The accommodation was accurately described, with modern bathroom fittings, comfortable beds, crisp linen and soft fluffy towels. The property was clean and well-maintained. When we had a problem the manager appeared the next morning to sort it out. There are good walks nearby and wonderful views. Luckily we had two cars at our disposal because there are no shops within walking distance; this was the only disadvantage of the property. We would certainly recommend it to friends or family.

Owner's Response: Thank you. Our chalet managers live locally and are always willing to pop over to sort any problems and glad they were able to help. Actually there is a shop in Seytroux (La Halte du Moulin) which sells the basics and which is also a depot du pain- 5-10 minutes' walk from the chalet. Look forward to welcoming you back another time.

Lovely chalet, great views, comfortable beds

  • 4 of 5

There were eight of us in the chalet, and with five bedrooms we had just the right amount of room. It was in a quiet south-facing location with wonderful views over the valley. The kitchen and bathrooms were modern, clean and efficient, and the beds very comfortable. Towels were big and fluffy and the bed linen clean and crisp.

Luckily we had two vehicles at our disposal, because Le Sey is fairly remote and buses were some distance away and infrequent. If we wanted fresh bread for breakfast we had to drive to the shop. However there was excellent walking in the vicinity and our dog was very happy there.

Een complete boerderij mer veel uitstraling

  • 5 of 5

Authentic chalet, ideal for us, homely feel

  • 4 of 5

This authentic chalet was ideal for us as friends sharing. Its homely feel and lay out make it a convivial place to be with companions. The kitchen really is well equipped and again, easy for sharing the cooking and perfect in every way, and we made good use of it. Love the basket for potatoes and onions just like home! The terrace outside much used by the smokers and drinkers in the evening. We never got to play table tennis but wanted to..and to have your film collection was great. We were warm and cozy there with the Godin ( wood burning stove) in the sitting room. We would only ever choose a chalet with a bath so this chalet had everything for us. The Hamlet is peaceful, was always easy to get to by car- no traffic. A huge success for us and we would rent the chalet again Thankyou. Carl and Paula
