Villa in Gran Alacant, Costa Blanca South, Spain - Peaceful Location Within Walking Distance To All Amenities

A well equipped detached villa on a large plot in a quiet urbanisation suitable for families or a small group. Modern interior with TV & internet. While its situated in a quiet urbanisation, shops, bars & restaurants are a 5 min walk. It's a 10 min drive to the airport & 15 mins to Alicante city with its great shops/market stalls/bars/restaurants/nightlife. The castle & marina are also worth a look. Santa Pola is the next significant town, a very "Spanish" town with restaurants & bars along the beachfront road. If you don't want to drive there's plenty of nightlife locally too. Within the local area there's a bus & "train" that circles between the small Gran Alacant Shopping Centre nearby and the fabulous Carabassi Beach 4 mins drive away with its Beach Club where you can rent kite/windsurfers, surfboards & various boats, and enjoy a drink or a snack served to you on your sunbed from the bar!

We are just back from a 10 day stay with our children and ‘in –laws’ and what a great time we had!! As we took parents with us my brief was:

· Short transfer time from airport

· Spacious property

· Has own pool

· Outside area – possibly for outside dining/BBQ

· Child safe

· Somewhere that had a little something extra – Quality feel (without the Hilton’s price tag!!)

This villa is nothing like the ‘usual’ holiday rental properties. The key holders and Nick made us feel very welcome and showed us around the property on arrival. The villa is spacious with a great feel of quality. Each room has been styled using quality linens and finishing touches. The facilities are wonderful! Local bars, restaurants and supermarkets are literally a 5min stroll away. The bus stop is just around the corner and the 10 minute journey to the beach is pleasant and just 1 Euro 25 each with buses running regularly!! We even took the 40 min bus journey into Alicante for the same

Notes on accommodation: We do not permit dogs, and would request that guests refrain from smoking when in the villa. In addition to the air conditioning, all bedrooms and the lounge area have ceiling fans - great if you don't like air-conditioning! Outside: Outside the villa is surrounded by a large terrace with various plants and shrubs. A kidney shaped pool with step down into the shallow end in addition to a ladder at the deep end. Please ensure children are supervised in and around the pool area. There are lights to illuminate the pool in the evenings while eating or relaxing with a drink. There is a shaded alfresco dining area at the front of the house under a tented pergola and also a BBQ area. There are six sun loungers which we manoeuvre around the villa to catch the last of the evening sun! Or we also have parasols. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels (not beach towels) and bedlinen is provided. Iron and ironing board. There is a charge of £70 for the cleaning of the villa. What a lovely villa this is.also Julie and Jim the keyholders have been really helpfull and kind, doing our airport transfer,a lovely couple.The villa has everthing you's well equipped.the pool is perfect.plenty of supermarkets and eating places local,within walking distance.would recommend

Our family of 2 adults and 2 children (8 and 6 years old) had a wonderful stay at Rick's villa. The location is great and the villa has everything you could possibly need during your stay. Hopefully we will be back next year!

The main beach is the beautiful Carabassi beach which is about 4 mins drive or 20 mins walk away. It has several boardwalk access points, one of which goes fully to the Beach Club and may be useful for someone with mobility issues. The Club provides sunbeds (for a charge) on the beach and there's a bar and Aquatic rental facility for kite/windsurfer, boat, surfboard etc rentals. In 2011 they also ran a beach party every Sunday night ! The "train" & bus can be taken to/from the beach.


Alicante Airport is the nearest airport and is only about 10 minutes away. Cars can be hired at the airport or locally as required but note the airport is no more expensive than hiring locally. A car is not essential and there are plenty of taxis outside the airport to take you the 10 minute drive to the villa. If you don't hire a car the "train" & bus service can be used around the local area & to the beach.


Locally in Gran Alacant you will find everything you need for a great holiday. The Gran Alacant Shopping Centre is 3 mins walk and the beautiful Carabassi Beach is 4 mins by car. If you want to go further afield... Santa Pola, a Spanish fishing town is about 7 minutes away by car, and Alicante city with all that comes with any city, is about 15 minutes away by car. A taxi to/from Alicante is very reasonable, and the bus service to/from costs pennies!

Further Details:

Gran Alacant has all the amenities one would expect in any town...banks, ATMs, pharmacies, doctors, medical clinic, internet cafes, supermarkets, restaurants, bars, clubs etc. But if you want to go further then go see the pink flamingos on the Salinas (salt lakes) in Santa Pola (7 minutes away by car). Day trips can be taken to Terra Mitica theme park and Aqualandia water park, both about 45 minutes drive away. Guadalest is worth a trip for its amazing scenery and the green lagoon.

Feel free to email me any time, or phone any reasonable time, to discuss any points requiring clarification. A non refundable deposit of 25% is required to confirm the booking, the balance, along with a £200 security deposit, is required 8 weeks prior to your arrival. The deposit will be refunded when the keys are returned and our agent has checked the villa and contents for damage. A £90 Euro fee for cleaning & laundry

Changeover Day:
Note you will need to vacate the Villa on the day of departure by 10am to allow for cleaning.

In the six week school holidays we only accept booking in two week blocks Saturday to Saturday.

Access to the villa on the day of arrival is 4pm. It can some times be sooner.

100% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
