JOHN DANCEY purchased this chalet in 2012

Why JOHN DANCEY chose Narberth

Ideally situated. Only 30 minutes drive away from home. Presents an ideal hub for the many attractions in Pembrokeshire. Lovely scenery and walks. Plenty of entertainment nearby. Beautiful beaches, great for fishing and water sports. Amroth has always been one of our favourite resorts. Never too crowded or noisy and if the tide is right you can walk along the beach to Wisemans Bridge and through the tunnels to Saundersfoot.

What makes this chalet unique

Find it so relaxing even though we live in a very rural area. It's nice to get away even for a few hours and just enjoy a change of scenery and the friendly atmosphere at the site.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Children had a fantastic time. Ideally sited for Folly Farm, Anna Richardson's Zoo and lots more. The Lodge was very clean and comfortable and really well equipped. Will definitely come again.

The location was lovely but very disappointed with the chalet

  • 1 of 5

The chalet was very damp with extensive patches coming through in the living room ceiling and dining room wall and small bedroom. The whole chalet smelt damp and musky and very cold and spoilt our vacation. The bedroom was so damp and cold we were unable to sleep in there. We complained to reception who said he hadnt seen you for a while and wasn't his responsibility. Overall extremely disappointed as we spent a lot of money to take my daughter and grandson away and a bit shocked as the previous reviews stated something totally differently to what we experienced.

Owner's Response: Very disappointed with review. Previous tenant more than happy with lodge. . Heating is provided in every room with the first £5 of electricity f.o.c. From the meter reading there was very little electricity used and probably none for heating. The Summer has been a particularly wet one and unless heating is used the damp can start to penetrate. There should have been adequate heating in the bedroom to avoid any discomfort from the cold. If problem had been reported to us rather than reception who have no responsibility for the lodges (clearly stated in information pack ) then we would have tried to resolve the situation rather than learn about the problem after the event via the review. Customer satisfaction is our priority.

very clean and tidy excerllent value

  • 5 of 5

I spent 3 days on a short break with my 2 younger girls, The lodge was in very good order and very comfortable.

Being only a short drive from some of the best locations in the area was a real advantage as we could be off a beach showered and out to Tenby for an evening meal in under an hour.

Could not fault this lodge in any way would stay again without any hesitation.

Great Location, Lovely setting, compact and comfortable

  • 4 of 5

Myself and my fiance had an amazing stay here over the new year. The accomodation was perfect for us in a great location near to our favourite place Tenby (10-15mins) and also Saundersfoot.

The property was very clean and had all the essential amenities such as a tv, dvd player; the oil heaters were great as was very cold at this time of year. Our one small gripe would be the electric shower which was hot, but very weak powered.Decided to have baths instead which were fine.

The owners were always very responsive prior to our arrival and were on hand throughout in case we needed any help. Fortunately we did not and when we asked for a later checkout, John gave us an additional 2 hours which was most kind.

Overall, we had a great time here and we will definitely return later this year.
