Greenala Barn Sleeps 8 (4 Bedrooms)

Greenala Barn is very spacious and ideal for large families or groups. The living area has plenty of room and seating for everyone, with double doors leading out onto the sunny south facing patio and lawn, the garden is large with lawns wild areas and a fenced pond. There is ample parking for cars and a boat if you have one. The barn is tastefully furnished with period and contemporary furniture. In the unlikely event of a wet day the tv is concealed in the oak linen press with a good selection of board games and puzzles in the drawers below. For winter visits the wood burner gives out a tremendous heat and is ideal for snuggling down by in the evening. There is an additional loft room that can accommodate two extra people this can be used by arrangement.

Greenala and Potato Barn were converted by ourselves a builder and architect, They are of the highest standard. The accommodation is spacious and flexible, the two barns are attached but quite separate. They are often rented together by large families for special occasions. Both barns have a large living area with the kitchen and living room combined for "social cooking", the living rooms have wood burners (with plenty of logs provided) to relax by after a hard day on the beach. Underfloor heating and unlimited hot water are included. Barafundle Barns are located between the historic town of Pembroke and the picturesque harbour town of Tenby; a short distance from the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast with Barafundle Bay, Bosherstone lilly ponds and Freshwater East with it's public slipway just down the road. Barafundle Barns are an ideal base for walking, cycling, climbing, surfing or beach based holidays.

About lucy brooker

Peter, my husband, and myself, Lucy, are an architect and builder partnership, choosing to move from Bristol in 2000, with our family, for a change in lifestyle. We both feel privileged to live in Pembrokeshire.

The Barafundle Barns were converted with the view of us living there one day when the children have left home. Both Barns have south facing frontage. We invariably eat outside on the terrace when doing the change-over- it is such a sun trap. We have used the Barns ourselves for numerous family gatherings and parties, and also on our own for a quiet cosy break. I am sure that you will enjoy your stay and love the coast and seascape.

We live just five miles away in Manorbier; Peter is a keen surfer.

We bought the run-down Barns in 2005,

Their location is perfect, set in quite countryside, with southerly aspect, with distant sea views, only half-an -hours walk from Barafundle Bay, one and a half miles from Freshwater East beach.

What makes this barn unique

The two properties are attached, but both have their own separate gated entrances. If both barns are booked, there is a gate between the two properties on the front terrace. There is loads of space for parking cars and a large garden surrounding Greenala Barn. Potato barn has a smaller garden in front of the property and another shadier garden at the rear.

It is possible to go for lovely walks from the properties without getting in the car.
