Perfectly located in a small, peaceful and private gated complex on Calle Frigiliana in the Carabeo/Parador area of Nerja just 3 mins walk from the Carabeillo, Burriana and Carabeo beaches, a 5 min walk to the town center and 8 mins to the popular Balcon de Europa. This beautifully designed house is fitted and furnished to an extremely high and modern standard which includes WiFi internet access, air-conditioning and large Flat Screen Sat/TV & DVD/CD players. The end one of only four such houses within the complex, it is surrounded by beautifully planted well maintained gardens with a large lawned area directly outside the main entrance of the property, the communal swimming pool is visible from and adjacent to the property just seconds away and the courtyard area with its orange trees and bench seating is also adjacent to the house. Within the property there is a private ground floor south west facing sunny garden patio with tables and chairs for outside dining and a private sunny roof terrace accessed from within the property with sunbeds, a small bistro table and chairs, there are also awnings and parasols in place on all terraces offering shade and comfort on hot sunny days. About Philip Adams

Both my wife and I grew up in Manchester, although we are now retired and enjoying life in the rural Pendle/Forest of Bowland area. We both worked in sales, I personally worked in telecommunications for over 40 years and traveled extensively, both for business and pleasure. After taking early retirement, we decided to split our lives between the UK and the Mediterranean and after much searching and consideration, decided Nerja was the place for us, we were very fortunate to find this house in this location, as without doubt it is the best location in Nerja, with everything we needed, right on our doorstep, We new we wanted a home in the town, with access to all amenities and yet close to the beaches where a car wasn't necessary, this property fulfilled all our dreams, in a great community with easy access to the best bars, beaches and restaurants, we love it and we really hope you will to.

Having visited Nerja on and off for the past 30 + years we have watched the town develop and grow without losing its Andalusian character and having traveled extensively, we still think Nerja is one of the prettiest and most authentic coastal towns in Spain. We bought this property mainly because of its location and have worked hard on developing it to the high standard it is today, we have just gained Spanish Tourist Board Approval and are officially licensed to rent our property by the Junta de Andalucia, having adhered to all their standards and laws introduced in 2016 regarding rental properties in Spain. It continues to be an ongoing project, but it's in a beautiful peaceful location, set in the best and most sought after part of Nerja, with everything on your door step, the best bars, the best restaurants, the best beaches, it really is all about modern comfort, style and Location, Location, Location.

Nerja's little gem

We stayed over Christmas and New Year at this delightful property it was spotless, well quipped and maintained to an excellent standard, it was in easy reach of bars, restraunts, shops etc and the Balcon was a short strolls away where most of the action went on. There was no hassle regarding customer service and would certainly recommend to family and friends.

Would suggest to the owners that perspex shower wall and new double mattress would be an improvement.

We are presently in Spain on one of or regular visits to maintain and improve the property so it fully meets our guests expectations. We are in the process of refurbishing the existing bathroom into a modern wet-room and expect this work to be carried out later this year. I think this covers your point on a shower wall rather than a shower curtain and thank you for this, your point is valid and constructive criticism is always welcome, it helps us in our continued improvement and development of the property. However, I'm not sure I understand your point on the double mattress, as this is a new bed with a new mattress of hotel standard. I do understand that mattress softness/hardness is a very personal thing, but I hope you can appreciate how difficult it is to find something that suits all people, we did try by buying one of hotel standard, but it is so difficult to meet everyone's personal needs. Anyway, that said, thank you once again for taking the time to review our property and we are delighted you enjoyed your stay and gave us a 5 star review, this is really appreciated and we hope we will see you again. Good location but needs a few things doing to it to make it very good !

Good location for the centre of Nerja plus the terrace was agreat sun trap. Internally there are a few improvements that could be made to enhance the overall experience. Firstly siting a washing line on the roof terrace means that carrying it down again on marble staircase was a little hazardous. Better the line could have been sited on the sun terrace, at ground level. Unless put in bedroom wardrobes there was nowhere to hang coats etc. Though not really an issue in Summer in colder months this is an inconvenience. The cd/radio didn't work, even after much fiddling. The only English speaking TV station is Sky news, not great if the weather is poor or you have kids who need a dose of telly every day. The towels were very thin and the hot water bath tap had to be run for a while before the shower could be used to any effect. In spite of all these minorish niggles we did have a good stay here....location is everything.

Owner's Response: We are really pleased that overall you enjoyed your stay in our property and your holiday in Nerja, however, we are a little confused with some of the points raised and I will address these individually as follows. The drying facility on the roof terrace is standard practice in Spain and it is for most of the time out of sight and the best drying area. We considered putting a washing line down on the ground floor garden patio, but as this space is designed for alfresco dining and leisure, we considered this to be unsightly and impractical. However, taking your point on board, we will look at supplying a fold away drying maiden for use in this area. With regards to the coat hanging facility, we do provide this, we understand you would not want to put overcoats in the wardrobe and that's why we provide two double coat hooks on the back of each bedroom door. We don't understand why you experienced issues with playing CD's, Radio and obtaining English speaking TV/Radio stations. These services are all provided and we explain in the visitors book how to obtain them through the TV media centre. I am so sorry you didn't report this to us at the time, we could have immediately dispatched an engineer to investigate and address the issue. I have noted your comments regarding the hot water supply to the shower and had our service agent check this out, however, they have reported back they can find no fault, as there is a good supply of hot water at a high pressure. Had you reported this to us at the time, we could have investigated and corrected any problem found, as we, through our property manager in Nerja have a team of tradesmen available to address such issues. We hope the points raised would not inhibit you staying with us again, we are presently visiting the property to asses the condition of furnishings, facilities and services. We do this on a regular basis throughout the year, as our guests comfort and access to the advertised services in our property is of paramount importance to us, please be assured all points raised in your review will be investigated.

Beatiful comfortable Nerja townhouse

All arrangements were conducted satisfactorily and we arrived to find the house clean and in great condition with many facilities to make us feel at home; for anyone who enjoys catering for themselves, as we did on a number days, the kitchen was well appointed with lots of equipment and utensils. The living room was very comfortable and the airconditioning very welcome; the master bedroom also smart and comfortable. The second bedroom was attractive and comfortable but perhaps could have benefited from air-conditioning too, although there was a good fan. We particularly liked the secluded courtyard and outside dining area spending a lot of time in this chilled setting. Finally the roof garden offered an excellent sun trap for those that wanted that. The property is well situated, about a 10 minute walk to the Balcon de Europa in the centre of Nerja and a similar distance in the opposite direction to the Burriana beach. We would like to visit Nerja again and would have no hesitation in seeking out this lovely house to stay in again.

simply fantastic 😊

An absolute gem of a house. Great location in a fantastic resort, all mod cons just like home but with sunshine !!! I loved the sun terrace & the plants that come with it (they only ask for water every day ) !!! All amenities within a short walk. Good choice of beaches nearby along with excellent restaurants & bars. . The house is very spacious & comfortable, I would definitely recommend. When I next visit nerja won't hesitate to stay there . Very enjoyable stay in nerja .

Lovely townhouse in great location

We stayed in the townhouse in Nerja for one week in August 2016 and really enjoyed our stay. The house had all of the facilities we needed and provided a comfortable space to relax. The location of the property is ideal to explore Nerja. The only constructive comments I would make is that it would have been nice to have air conditioning in the second bedroom to make it a little more comfortable as the temperature was very high at this time of year. Overall, a great place to stay and I would recommend it.

Special interest holidays:

There are 2 water parks in the area, Torre de Mar and Almunecar, both within a 30 minutes drive.

The Andalucian Mountains which are preserved as a Nature Park is a fantastic area for walking, horse riding and exploring. The Burriana beach area offers many water sports which include a professional scuba diving school. Diving is particularly good along the coastline where there are a series of unspoiled coves and cliffs with Marine Nature Park status.

Coast/Beach:

The nearest beach, only a 3 min walk from the house, is the beautiful Playa Carabeillo, which leads on to the famous Burriana Beach where you will find water sports and numerous stylish beach bars, restaurants and shops along the promenade. The delightful Playa Carabeo is also just a 3 min walk from the house in the opposite direction with Playa Calahonda and its beach restaurant just 8 minutes away.

Travel:

A car is not essential, but there are many interesting places within easy reach of Nerja. Malaga airport is 45 minutes by car, Granada's famous Alhambra Palace is 90 mins and there are many uncrowded beaches and coastal towns to visit if you do have one. There is also a regular bus service from Malaga to Nerja and return. Granada airport is approx 90 mins drive away and there is an excellent bus service to all nearby towns from Nerja Bus Station, which is only 10 minutes walk from the house.

Distances:

The beautiful award winning village of Frigiliana is only 5kms away and a bus is regularly available from Nerja. The famous Nerja Caves are well worth a visit and are approx 7 kms drive, but buses are available from Nerja. Granada and the incredible Alhambra Palace are approximately 90 mins drive away, but buses are also available. There are many small mountain/coastal towns, fishing harbours, ports and beaches all around the area with buses, taxis and car hire readily available from Nerja.

Further Details:

The nearest supermarket, which caters for Spanish and international food and an Internet café are 2 minutes walk away in Los Huertos both a Spanish and French bakery are also close by. There are several large supermarkets within easy walking distance. Most bars/restaurants now offer free Wi-Fi, but WiFi is available within the house. There are an abundance of Tapas bars, cafés, bars, restaurants and shops within a short stroll. Various banks and the Tourist Office are very nearby at the 'Balcon de Europa'. There is a large number of excellent restaurants in Nerja and many takeaways which will deliver to the house, details of these are within the property.

Booking Notes:
Please contact the owner direct for the relevant booking documentation. A deposit of 25% is payable to reserve a booking, plus a £200 refundable security/damage deposit is required with the final balance, which is payable 8 weeks before departure.

Changeover Day:
Booking periods are normally Sat to Sat in the summer months, with minimum 7 day bookings. In busy periods check in is 4.00 pm and check out by 11.00 am However, if possible, we will try to be flexible on these times and duration's.

Notes on prices:
Prices shown are per week and include the costs for air conditioning & heating. They also include cleaning at the start and end of each rental, plus an extra set of bed linen and towels are provided for rentals of more than one weeks duration, tea towels, hand towels, dish cloths and place mats are all available in kitchen. Please note that extra cleaning, bed making and laundry services can be arranged by request and discounts will be offered for long term winter rentals.

  • Notes on accommodation: The house is most suitable for couples and families with older children around 12+ years of age, it is really not suitable for families with very young children. Air-conditioning is provided through separate units in the living area and all bedrooms. There is heating provided for all the rooms in the house for rentals during the winter, shutters and grills are provided on all relevant doors and windows, keeping the house warm in winter, cool in summer and ensures the property is completely secure. The house is in a prime much sought after position in Nerja and is in a lovely setting, with easy access to all shops, bars, restaurants and beaches, a car is definitely not required. Recently reformed and furnished to the highest standard with SAT/TV, DVD and WiFi available on a pay as you go basis, by the hour, day, week or month all modern facilities are available for you to relax and fully enjoy your stay in this beautiful historic town. Outside: The entrance into the complex is via a private gated courtyard with its orange trees and bench seating. There is a well kept lawn directly in front of the house and beautifully planted communal gardens are all around. The pool area is across the lawn just seconds away from the property and normally opens Apr - Oct. The sunny private patio off the living room is walled with planters, climbing flowers and shrubs to one side. Included is a high quality modern patio table with 4 chairs and a small bistro table with 2 reclining chairs, a large winding sun umbrella and wind out sun awning are also in this area. This area is ideal for for drinks and alfresco dining. The private roof terrace has sun loungers, a small bistro table with seating for four and a full wind out awning installed. Free parking is available on the road outside and there is a large car park just behind the property. However, because of the very central location, a car is definitely not essential. Utility Room: A fully automatic washing machine, iron and ironing board are available in this area with pegs and drying equipment. There is also a larger capacity drying facility on the roof terrace. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: On arrival the house will be freshly cleaned and serviced with beds made and a supply of newly laundered hand & bath towels. For stays of more than one week, an extra set of bed linen/towels will be left in the house. Please bring your own beach towels. Other: WiFi access is available in the property on a pay as you go basis for a nominal fee via the WiFi provider. There is also a steam iron, ironing board, drying facilities, powerful hair-dryer, cool box, wine cooler, microwave, shopping trolley etc.
