Barn in South Creake, North Norfolk, England - Close To The Lovely Norfolk Coast

Jesters Barn is a converted flint built coach house situated in lovely gardens behind the owners house. There is an enclosed garden with furniture and BBQ with access to larger garden with pond and stream. The cottage is situated off the road and there is parking for two to three cars.

About Sheila Taylor

My husband (a retired Gynaecologist) and myself have lived at Easter Cornhill which was formerly the Vicarage for South Creake for nearly 30 years. We converted Jesters Barn for our daughter when she got married. Three of our grandchildren were born whilst they were living in the Barn which they have now outgrown.

A real find. Full of charm and character

Our stay at Jesters was perfect. The location was very peaceful and the accommodation was very spacious, clean, had everything you needed ,home from home. The grounds are beautiful. The barn is set behind the owners house and they were very helpful without being obtrusive. Located in a small village but really easy to drive out to beaches, towns, attractions, etc. Lots to do in the area, and further afield. Coastal villages are a short drive away. Came with our dog who was secure in the grounds. We thoroughly recommend this beautiful cottage with it charm and great location. Lovely walk around the village. The aga was a very welcome addition. Very easy to book with owners and quick to reply. If you want to relax, not worry about traffic, like the countryside, but also want easy access to loads more, this is the place to stay.

Wells nest the Sea beach and pinewoods. 5 miles

Holkham Beach. Large sandy beach made famous by Gwyneth Paltrow 7 miles. Pine woods for lovely walks.

Brancaster Beach 8 miles. Very popular with long sandy beach.


Use of car essential.

1 3/4 hours drive from Stansted.

45 minutes drive from Norwich airport


3 miles from Burnham Market.

6 miles from Fakenham.

6 miles from Holkham Hall

10 miles from Sandringham

Further Details:

interesting shops in Burnham Market plus butcher, fish shop and baker and Small mini market. Nearest supermarket Fakenham.

In village there is an excellent vegetable stall and also a Crab Shack selling excellent fresh crab and lobster.

Walsingham Farm Shop, ten minute drive. Excellent butcher, local cheeses,artisan bread and home made pies etc.

There are many excellent pubs and restaurants locally.

Booking Notes:
I will accept a 10% deposit on booking as I have done this previously. This deposit is non refundable. Balance of payment due one month before commencement of holiday. Once the balance has been paid if there is a cancellation this will only be refunded if the property is relet for the same period

Changeover Day:
Friday changeover. Cottage available 3pm on day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
