Excellent cottsge

This is a brilliant spacious and clean cottage in a lovely peaceful setting. Well equipped kitchen and generous sized garden which was a great place for 4 children and our dog to play. The BBQ and patio area was a bonus too. There was also a park for the children just a short walk away. The Crown Pub in the villages served delicious food (big portions) and were really good when we all went in (dog included).

I would definitely this cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay but with the amenities of Fakenham close by (in Fakenham) and the beach a short drive away (in Wells

My wife and I have first used this cottage about 7 years ago and we are still using this cottage.The cottage is always clean and well maintained.The property is well proportioned with 2 bathrooms,4 good bedrooms a good sized kitchen diner and the owner allows dogs which is good for us.

The owner does provide good customer service i have recommended this cottage to relatives and they now come with us, We love the cottage and the area hence why we return each year,

Hillside Cottage

Hillside cottage was ideal for three generations of our family - grandparents, son and daughter-in-law and two grandchildren aged 12 and 9. Catherine made us very welcome and the cottage was well equipped, warm, spacious and comfortable. We had good dry and sunny weather all week. The fish and chip shop at the next village was useful.As we are all interested in wildlife we had very good outings to Sculthorpe Moor for the Hawk and Owl Trust, Pensthorpe, the sealife centre at Hunstanton and Titchwell the RSPB reserve which has wonderful new hides after the flood devastation of December 2012. We saw the barn owl flying across the meadow and the cottage garden on most days. On quieter days without the young family we visited some the familiar villages of the north coast and some of the lovely old churches and on the way home we went to Castle Acre and Oxburgh Hall. It was a relaxing and yet action packed week. We would love to come again.

Rural Peace

We stayed in Hillside Cottage for 8 weeks awaiting property purchase in Hunstanton. Thank you Catherine for our very pleasant stay.

Spacious and comfortably furnished. Cosy in freezing temperatures. The wildlife, (barn owl circling the large field in front of the cottage) and rich agriculture lifts the spirits. Ideally situated for coastal resorts and inland features. Good wifi and plenty of off-road car parking. In all, perfect!

Lovely stay

Mrs. Joice welcomed myself , my partner and Mum and 2 very big St Bernards .

Great location with walks from the door along country lanes and footpaths. Everything we needed was provided , it was very warm and comfortable . Safe enclosed garden for the dogs . We had nice trips to fakenham and Brancaster .

We enjoyed the cold weather knowing we had such a lovely place to return to after our walks . Very reasonably priced for such a large cottage

perfect cottage in every way!

Hillside was absolutely ideal for our needs. The downstairs bedroom with ensuite was perfect for my not so able mum and the rest of the rooms were just lovely. We received a lovely warm welcome from Mrs Joice and we instantly felt very at home. The cottage was beautifully clean and very comfortable. The enclosed garden was superb for our two dogs and it was great that they could just run in and out. There is still so much we want to do in the area and so we intend to return next year and have no need to look for any other place to stay as Hillside suited our needs exactly.
