About Ken Walton

As a retired sports person, I was looking for a place to take the family. The New Forest and South Coast has always been our favourite holiday destination for the family and our dogs.

This lovely Lymington Cottage just fitted our dream vision due to its close proximity to the New Forest National Park, and South Coast. We can now choose from walks along the beach, paddling and sunbathing, or Forest walks and market town shopping. We love the diversity on offer in the area but most of all we love eating good food and enjoying each others company. We hope you will too.

After loving family visits to Lymington we bought and renovated this property to have a 'get away' place for ourselves. However our children (25 - 35 year olds!) love going down with their friends too.

Ken Walton purchased this cottage in 2011

Why Ken Walton chose New Forest

We pride ourselves on a fast response to questions and requests and seek to help guests with their needs.

It pleases us that we have many yearly returners which we hope speaks for itself.

Rosetta cottage is fortunate to have a wonderful local House keeper who is on hand not just to keep the place looking so clean and tidy but also to help with any unexpected problems.

We hope you will enjoy the property and the surrounding area as much as we do and will find yourselves rested and ready for life after each visit. For me I like nothing better than sitting with a cool drink in the garden on a lovely summer evening enjoying deciding where to walk to eat.

What makes this cottage unique

Parking for 2 cars - rare in Lymington.

Lymington market

Forest walks

Coastal setting

Isle of Wight ferry links

Charming cottage

  • 5 of 5

A lovely stay for five days. Ken was very communicative coming up to our stay and always responded promptly. The cottage was clean and very well kept with a fresh seaside theme throughout. Plenty of space for kids to play also with a courtyard. Very close to Lymington high street with great places to eat and shop. Nights we didn't want to eat out we would stay in and cook. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed and everything was easy to use. Plenty of books and games in the snug to keep everyone entertained! Thanks for a lovely week and hope to come back soon.

Comfortable, well equipped holiday home

  • 5 of 5

This proved to be an ideal holiday home. Just a short walk from the quay and High Street, and a useful base for days out.

As dog owners, we really appreciated the fully enclosed garden and wooden floors downstairs.

We would recommend this property without any hesitation.

a little gem

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from staying at Rosette cottage, home from home, so well kept, bright and airy, everything supplied you could possibly want, photos dont do it justice. Lovely and quiet, but a couple of minutes walk from town. so nice and clean, warm had to turn radiators off, lovely to sit with patio doors open looking onto patio, cant praise it enough didn't want to come home, certainly one of the best cottages we've stayed in your every whim catered for, as i said a little gem.

Relaxing cottage in a lovely town

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic and relaxing time in Lymington based from a great location at this cottage.

We especially appreciated all the little touches - the welcome pack on arrival, useful locations to visit and restaurant recommendations. The cottage was ideally located away from the busy high street but easily walkable to all Lymington had to offer and the surrounding countryside. It was well equipped with everything we needed and courtyard garden area was perfect for relaxing with a bottle of wine in the evening!

We will be back soon. Thanks for a great stay in a lovely home.
