Spacious Traditional 3 Bed Chalet Apartment With Great Mountain Views

Updated: 20-Oct-2016
Apartment in La Plagne, Savoie, Rhone Alpes, France - Peaceful And Picturesque Location, Perfect For Families Minutes From La Plagne 1800

Finished to a very high standard with high quality furnishing this is the perfect retreat for families to feel a home from home. We decided to keep the sleeping capacity lower, so you could actually enjoy relaxing after your day out in the mountain on comfortable sofa's, rather than badly sprung sofa-beds. The apartment has a very cosy feel to it, fully fitted kitchen with a full size oven and all the mod-cons you would need for your stay, should you want to stay in and cook. The apartment is spacious at 62m2 and includes a large private balcony with stunning mountain views. Free parking is also available right outside.

About the Owner

Bought in 2010 by two couples, brother and sister combo and related partners as a home away from home. Somewhere peaceful and relaxed that could fulfil both our skiing desires and some fun in the sun. A mini retreat that had all the home comforts, but nested in a tranquil area while still being close enough to all the action.

Guestbook comments from the owner

"What a splendid week. It started when we entered the apartment and stopped getting all the ski stuff back in the car. We love the place quiet, comfortable and spacious. Every morning the track through the forest to la Roche was great. We have been to many other ski area’s in the neighborhood but this one was amazing every day." - Fred van Nieuwkerk, 30/12/2012

"We had a wonderfull holiday in your appartment. It was well decorated and the situation was perfectly. The appartment was clean and the bedlinnen and towels were convenient." - Frits Bleichrodt, 26/02/2013

"Your apartment was the best we've ever stayed in. Plenty of space and well laid out with virtually everything in place that we needed. It was spotlessly clean." - John Harvey, 03/03/2013

Great stay

  • 5 of 5

Just back from a great stay at this apartment. Steve the owner was great at coming back from start to finish. The management company who are on site were also fantastic, we arrived very early as drived through the night but it wasn't a problem we were met at the property and allowed to settle in and given our lift passes which was highly appreciated.

The apartment is modern bright and clean and the beds are comfy. There is everything you could want in the kitchen, travelling with two little ones we cooked every night and the kids were happy watching uk tv and the teenager was happy as he had good wifi...happy days.

Crete Côte is very small but Plagne 1800 is only a 3 min car journey we used our car quite a bit for groceries etc but have a discovery so no need to stop at the bottom of the slope to put chains on like everyone else. If we stayed here again we would definitely stop at the supermarket at the bottom of the mountain for more choice and to save money.

Skiing out was not differcult if you are a confident skier we have a young daughter and found it easier to park at 1800 and get on that lift up to the golf in 2000 as this was a lovely piste for young children to start the day.

Coming back someone staying near us told us of an easier way to ski back. Take skis off at 1800 walk a little way down the road until you come to a lay by and then put skis back on and traverse down the bank at the back of the apartment much better than walking up the road.

We have stayed in Belle Plagne before and could literally walk out of your door onto the piste however if we wanted this during half term week we probably would have spent another £1000 so over all I'm pleased we chose this apartment.

Perfect ski holidays

  • 4 of 5

We stayed with 4 people for a week. The appartment was easy to find and drive to. Road to the building is prepared every morning by a bulldozer around 8, but accessible with (good) snow tires if there is fresh snow - if not, take out the chains. The view is splendid, inside you can find all you need. Rooms are big enough, the kitchen requires some organisation to open the fridge or oven while seated. You can ski from and to the slopes from the main road, take the bus (every hour) or go by car (5min). All together a very nice place to stay!

Owner's Response: I'm really glad you enjoyed the apartment and had a great holiday. Regarding the seating, we went for spacious benches rather than bulky chairs - you just need to remember to get the milk out the fridge before you sit down :)

Great apartment, great holiday - thank you

  • 5 of 5

Ours was a fantastic trip to La Plagne, made all the better for this lovely apartment. Just the right amount of living space vs bedrooms. We are a family of four, with two just under 10, and we could have comfortably accommodated two more without compromising our comfort, but the kids had a bedroom each instead!

The apartment was spotlessly clean, and had all that we needed to feel really at home. Beds and bedding were very cosy comfortable.

Crete Cote, is in a very nicely built quiet development, and perfect for a family holiday. There are fantastic views, and if the sun was shining the balcony has got some lovely sun loungers.

The location is slightly below La Plagne's main area, and a short drive gets you to the centre of the lifts, ski school, shops etc.

There is also a bus, but driving daily worked very well, equally the ski school Oxygene were happy to do pick ups / drop offs back to Crete Cote.

We rented a car with snow tyres which I would recommend as there was loads of snow as we arrived and departed and new arrivals were really struggling to get into the resort, good also for getting up to the chalet if particularly heavy snow, as its on a bit of a hill.

Everything worked beautifully, from the booking system, payments, arrival info, appartment manager meet and greet, to the general apartment contents and facilities. We loved it, and plan to return!

Great family rental.

  • 4 of 5

6 of us were in Crete cote and had a great time. The hamlet of Crete cote is just below plagne 1800 and far enough away from the hustle and bustle; but close enough for quick skiing and navette's. The apartment is perfectly adequate for a family of 6 (2 adults and 4 growing children). With tired ski legs, none of us fancied the new year celebrations in belle plagne but ended up having some lovely fireworks in Crete cote with fellow chalet goers. One of the most family friendly ski resorts we've been to! Delightful - and reflex ski lessons were a big bonus! Thank you Steve. A lovely accommodating owner who adjusted arrival, departure perfectly and quick to respond to pre-trip queries.

Excellent new year trip (with and without snow it worked)...runs were high enough to stay open.

I'd recommend to friends.

Great location great apartment

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the apartment at Crete Cote over the Feb half term 2015. We had very good communication with the owner of the apartment who gave us plenty of helpful advice and information. It was a perfect place to stay for a family ski holiday. Plenty of room for a family of 6, two adults and four kids. We drove so found it easy enough to drive into Plagne Centre for the kids ski lessons etc. The resort manager sorted lift passes at a decent rate and we're waiting for us when we arrived. Be warned if you are in a two wheel drive you will need snow chains to get up to the apartment with your car. All in all I would thoroughly recommend this apartment.
