Fabulous property in beautiful village.

  • 5 of 5

Very spacious property which the owners have equipped to make it a home from home experience. Our 16 year old was delighted at the wifi, we all over the pool and outside lounge area. The village is quiet and beautiful with a lovely bar and small restaurant. By the end of 2 weeks we felt like locals. Would definitely recommend a stay.

Large airy living area with secluded terrace

  • 4 of 5

Family of 3 adults and 2 small boys had a great holiday; the house met all our needs. As the first week was very hot, the pool was especially appreciated. Central location of the house was good, visiting sites in all directions; Montpellier, Millau, Aigues-Mortes as well as local towns Bouzigues, Meze and Marseillan, enjoying lunches of delicious seafood. We ate at the local restaurant, La Creperie, twice and tasted the wine at the neighbouring bar.

I would recommend a holiday at Vendredi Maison as a perfect introduction to the Languedoc area.

Owner's Response: Glad you had a good time at L'Ancient distillerie, I hear the boys particularly enjoyed the Steak Hache at the Creperie, it's our daughters favourite too.

Fabulous House

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Old Distillery May half Term 2015. We were a party of 4 adults and 3 children. The house was perfect for us and the weather made it all the better. We used the pool everyday which the children thoroughly enjoyed. We also made it to the beach a couple if times when we could tear ourselves away!

The house has a beautiful outside dining terrace which has a very inviting sofa, with lovely evening sun, which we enjoyed with aperitif's every night!

The house itself is huge. Its has 4 bedrooms, both double bedrooms are en-suite with beautiful bathrooms. The kids had a large family bathroom to themselves! The living space is great and there are lots of children's games provided.

The kitchen is enormous (two sinks and 2 fridges!!) and has everything you might need and more. We had BBQ's most nights, as the weather was so good. The village is lovely, very French. It has two small shops that sell fresh bread. There's also a nice reasonably priced restaurant and a lovely wine bar build into the ramparts of the old fortification of the village. I would thoroughly recommend the house and location. Its a great base for exploring, but if you just want so relax and enjoy the pool its perfect.

Great house, excellent base for area

  • 5 of 5

Super house, bags of room for our family and everything pretty much thought of. Lots of crockery, pots, pans, glasses etc. We were there when the temp outside was mid thirties, and the house remained cool inside.

We toured the area nearly every day, taking advantage of the pool and the outside dining in the early evening. Great to sit outside on the settees and relax with a book. Lovely quiet little village with bags of history, a small shop where you can get bread and a bar. A restaurant had also recently opened but we didn't get chance to try it.

Easy access to main roads, and large CarreFour about 20 mins away. Lots to do in the area, and plenty to keep everyone happy. From here it's easy to do Carcasonne & Avignon, and great local beaches and villages to explore. The kids did a "Go Ape" just 15 mins away and much better than the UK and better value.

You are surrounded by vineyards, and if we didn't have the kids with us we would have probably taken advantage of the wine tasting, and lunch which is offered at 2 local vineyards.

Pezenas is well worth a visit, and some great restaurants and shopping in the old town.

We thought the house was excellent value for money, and ideal for 2 families. There are very sheer curtains in the main bedroom though, so be prepared to be awake at sunrise !
