Gorgeous location, good accommodation standard, perfect for 2.

Added bonus of access to Picton grounds in evening was really special, great with dog. Listening to the wind in the trees at night eerie but memorable. Highly recommend

Lovely Lovely, Lovely!!

  • 4 of 5

We stayed at the lodge after making a last minute booking so as to visit a poorly relative. To say that it served a purpose would be a gross understatement. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating when booking and during our stay. The lodge is beautiful-in a very tranquil setting with lovely walks in the grounds and around the castle itself. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and the lounge, although small, is very cosy. All the lodge is immaculate and clean. I struggle to say anything negative, maybe if you want shops, pubs and entertainment in walking distance, it would not suit but for us, its perfect.(this is the only reason that I have put 4 stars and not 5) We will definitely use the lodge again-it's a little gem and good value for money too!

Further Details:

Pembrokeshire’s traditional description “the land of magic and enchantment” perfectly captures the qualities of its outstanding coastline. From Tenby in the south to Cardigan in the north, all the 186 mile shoreline falls within the National Park. It’s an extraordinary beautiful place, with everything from towering cliffs to sheltered harbours; huge beaches to wooded creeks. It’s also a haven for wildlife. Seals swim in its clear waters; wild flowers grow on the cliffs and sea birds nest in huge numbers on the coast and on the island nature reserves.

Pembrokeshire’s stunning coastal beauty extends inland to the Preseli Hills, on open expanse of highland scattered with mysterious prehistoric sites.

Away from the coast you’ll discover a host of places to visit. There are heritage sites such as St. Davids Cathedral and Pembroke Castle, the bustling traditional resorts of Tenby and Saundersfoot and a wealth of exciting attractions and activities – Oakwood Adventure Park, Folly Farm, and Hetherton’s Sports to name just a few. Haverfordwest Golf club is within 5 minutes drive..

The County town of Haverfordwest is just ten minutes by car – offering good shopping, a cinema, swimming pool, and a railway station. The small town of Narberth with its unique collection of independent shop, boutiques and delicatessens is about 15 minutes drive from the Lodges.
