Why michelle woof chose Kyrenia Region

we fell in love with northern Cyprus on our first visit in 2006 and we bought the apartment off plan. The complex was finished in 2009 and we have enjoyed holidays every year with out fail. We enjoy the tranquil location and the kids particularly enjoy the swimming pool so close. We love the culture and hospitality of the locals and like to adventure off site in a rented car to enjoy the sites and dine in quaint restaurants and bars.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment is modern and minimalistic but is homely and child safe, The terrace has fantastic sea views and looks directly over the adjacent swimming pool. at the front of there is mountain views. Its fully air-conditioned. The short walk down the complex takes you to the local bar/restaurant which is very welcoming. The gymnasium is situated beside as is the games room for the kids to enjoy and the mini golf for the big kids to enjoy!

Location

Coast/Beach:

10 mins walk to the rocky coastline. Approximately 15 mins drive east is Kaplica sandy beach with water sports available, 10 mins drive west is Korineum beach, 20 mins Acapulco beach and aqua park, Alagadi beach famous for nesting loggerhead/green turtles is approximately 20mins drive. Secluded beaches are located all along the coastline, if you have a sense for adventure you could find an ideal place.

Travel:

Nearest airport is Ercan which is 40 min drive. Direct flights can be made to Larnaca airport which is approximately 1 hrs drive, Transfers can be arranged from both airports with a car hire company. We highly recommend hiring a car to get around the island. We use "a-one rent a car" as they have competitive rates and have been great for us.

Distances:

There are many restaurants within a 5 min drive along the main coast road from the apartment.

Tatlisu- 5 min drive, supermarket, bars/restaurants.

Essentepe- 10 min drive, village with shops, restaurants/bars, banks, local market.

Kyrenia- 40 min drive, lovely historic harbour town with restaurants, lots of shops, cafés, etc.

Nicosia- 50 min drive, largest city and capital of Cyprus.

Famagusta- 45 min drive.

Karpaz peninsula- 50 min drive.

Further Details:

Local restaurants/bars have live music for you to enjoy on different nights of the week. There are many supermarkets along the main drag towards Kyrenia but there are 2 close by, either turn right out of the complex 6 km drive down the road or left to a larger store 9km away. The town of Kyrenia is a must with its lovely harbour lined with restaurants/bars and shops. There are many beaches, castles, towns and places of interest to explore. Local activities include horse riding, scuba diving, turtle watching, mountain walks, numerous casino's, aqua parks, 10 pin bowling, kart racing, paragliding, water sports, boat and fishing trips.

Notes on accommodation: All air-conditioning units are also convector heaters. There is a hair-dryer and a selection of DVD's, books and games for children and adults, a child's bed guard, cot, and high chair all for your use. Outside: There are landscaped gardens around the apartment. Terrace is over looking a shared pool and has a table with 4 chairs and 2 sun loungers leading to a contained gravelled garden area. We even have our own orange and lemon tree for you're use. Utility Room: Washing machine, iron, ironing board and clothes airer. Dustpan and brush, mop and bucket. Hand held vacuum cleaner. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bed linen and towels are provided. Pre arrival/departure clean is included in the weekly rate however mid week clean/linen change can be arranged at extra cost. please note only bathroom and poolside towels are provided, not beach. Other: We have 2 children therefore all children’s equipment is our own and in the apartment ready for you to use.

A first time visitor to North Cyprus

We had a great holiday and stay at Seaterra reserve. We struggled to find it in the dark on arrival as it is not in Tatlisu and our sat nav didn't like North Cyprus at all. (make sure you have some euros for the border insurance charge we only had Lira which they wouldn't accept)

Some great points, only 1 apartment in 20 was occupied so it was very quiet even though it was the last 2 weeks in August. The apartment is well appointed with every thing a modern traveller needs . The Air con worked well and we even managed to get sky news on the TV but the picture would freeze and be unwatchable in the evenings. (we assumed this was down to others using the band width) We did have a few issues. The whole place was a little grubby as if it needed a good spring clean and the duvet covers were stained. However the main issue for me was our never ending battle with Ants. There were tiny ones on the floor, which we never did discover where they came from. These didn't bother us as much the bigger ones, which were all over the kitchen cabinets and bench every morning. There was powder supplied and we bought another tub ourselves but no matter where we poured it they were still there the next morning. It was annoying that the only safe place was the nice big fridge. The fob for the gate worked intermittently (may need new batteries)

The complex itself was good, the 2 outdoor pools were clean. However the pool outside our apartment had an issue with hornets, all through the day there were 20 to 30 all around the perimeter making it awkward to relax. The lower pool didn't have as many (we think it was more salty) therefore due to my very jumpy 10 year old we ended up having to go down to the bottom pool (5 mins) every time for swimming. This was such a shame as the apartment is perfectly situated at the top pool. There were signs saying it was a particularly bad year for them but nothing seemed to be being done about it. The games room was neglected with broken equipment however there was a better pool table in the R&R the onsite taverna. The food here was nice however we only ate once because we were out and about every day. Great day at the new Elexus hotel water park. Kyrenia worth visiting as is Famagusta

We found North Cyprus to be a strange place overall. Some beautiful scenery and miles of deserted beaches. Reasonable quality roads but miserable locals. Great place if you like it quiet and hot.

Overall the apartment was good value for money.

Lovely 2 bedroom apartment in wonderful location

We enjoyed 10 wonderful days in Cyprus, based in this lovely 2 bedroom apartment in the Seaterra Reserve, near Tatlisu. The apartment was clean, modern and suitably well equipped for a family of 4 adults. With a beautiful view over the pool to the sea and with easier access to the Kyrenia Mountains to the rear, it is one of the best apartments in the Seaterra Reserve. The owners were a delight to deal with and made us feel very welcome, leaving food and drink in the fridge upon our arrival. With easy access to local beaches, diving and snorkelling spots, the mountains, the wonderful Karpas peninsula, Kyrenia, Nicosia, and Famagusta it is ideally located and provided enough to keep us all happy, even on days when we just wanted to lounge by the pool in wonderful, peaceful surroundings. Highly recommended.

This was an excellent apartment with every amenity well thought out.Although there was only the two of us it was fully equiped for six and especially for children.Welcoming grocery pack and very clean beds excetra.Restaurant served good food and very friendly staff.Swimming pool opposite the apartment but also another one suitable for children.Alltogether an great holiday and would highly recommend it.

Tatlisu apartment

As my friend and I entered this apartment, we found it very clean, spacious, and bright. It had everything we needed, and was ready for immediate use. It had a stunning view over the mountains at the front of the property and a pool within a few paces at the back. The sea was within view. The reserve has its own facilities with an office if needed. The owners had arranged a food package which we made immediate use of and we very much appreciated that. Whenever I contacted the owners, I had an immediate and welcoming response, and felt very much at ease with them.

It is some distance from good supermarkets, and a 20 minute drive to the nearest beach. Initially, being used to everything on my doorstep !, I found this a little irritating, but soon found that the absolute peace was well worth not having everything close by. . It has total quiet, and is therefore very relaxing. Restaurants are a short drive away, and are varied in their menu and ambience.

If I visited N Cyprus again, I would definitely try to book this apartment.

Lovely Apartment!

Stayed on two occasions at this apartment.

Modern furnishings, well presented and very clean, looks across to the ocean from an elevated position. W enjoyed our quiet evenings on the terrace with a glass of wine! :)

The complex itself is in a quiet location set in the hillside, the gardens are very well kept and the site has a bar/restaurant and offices which are open through the day for help and advice, found the staff very approachable. There are two main pools on site and the smaller one is just outside this apartment which we quite often had to ourselves!

We were able to use the site wifi for a small fee to keep in touch with home.

Locally there are a number of small family run restaurants and shops in the area and the port town of Kyrenia was lovely to visit, approx. 40 mins drive.

Will certainly be looking to stay again, highly recommend!

Peaceful and scenic place.

I rented the apartment for a week. My girlfriend liked it and hence me too. :D

The place is nice and peaceful. Awesome beaches are nearby.

Apartment has all the necessary equipment's and we had no problems what soever during our stay.

Price is also reasonable. I recommend it over any hotels.
