About Joanna Kershaw

Hello, my name is Jo Kershaw.

Joanna Kershaw purchased this house in 2009

Why Joanna Kershaw chose Conwy Town

Conwy was the first choice as it has been a family holiday destination for about 50 years. We love the town for its history, character and charm. It has plenty of interesting things to see and do, beautiful shops, highly recommended restaurants and friendly local people. It has good travel links so easy to get to and perfect for using as a base to explore Snowdonia and Anglesey.

What makes this house unique

The property is a 2 storey 19th century house on a quiet one way street inside the castle walls of Conwy. It has been refurbished and redecorate to high standards to make a comfortable "home from home" for holiday makers. Its close to the local amenities, river front, castle and many other places of interest.

Great location, comfy, cozy cottage”

5 of 5 starsReviewed July 12, 2014

Isallt was the perfect spot for our family - my husband, myself and 2 young adult daughters. Easy location for day trips to Snowdonia, Anglesey, Caernarfon, and more. We loved that we were inside the town walls and could walk everywhere in the very special town of Conwy - a small and welcoming place. Walked the castle walls numerous times. Beachy vibe. The only difficulty (minor) was parking - very tight spaces, but we were able to find street parking and just walk everywhere! The house is small, but the bedrooms spacious and spotless. Skinny steps upstairs - not good if a person is impaired, but no problem otherwise. Amenities exactly as presented. If you are looking for super luxury, this is not the place, but if you want clean, comfortable and welcoming, this is it!

“Perfect house....Perfect location....Highly recommend.”

5 of 5 starsReviewed August 29, 2013

This house has something special about it that keeps us coming back year after year. It has all you could wish for and more. Its location within the town walls of Conwy is perfect with all amenities a short walk away. The castle, harbour, shops, pubs and lovely woodland and coastal walks right from the door. We love the quiet location of the house with all the benefit of a short stroll to everything. It is only when you stay in Conwy and become a 'resident' for a week or two that you really appreciate its history and atmosphere. 'Isallt' is the perfect place to stay to visit Conwy and the surrounding area.

“Lovely”

4 of 5 starsReviewed May 4, 2014

A lovely cottage in the heart of the beautiful town of Conwy.

The cottage was light, spacious, and very tastefully decorated and furnished. It was well equipped, including a good selection of books, dvds, jigsaws. We hope to return!

VERY PLEASANT STAY

  • 5 of 5

Lovely clean spacious house with lots of lovely homely touches. comfy beds with nice linen and towels. dvds games and books were available for our use which was nice. The house is very central for everything .The only down side we found was not being able to park outside the house as all the road was full all the time and as we had an elderly relative with us ,walking to the car park each day was a little struggle but that wouldn't put me off from going back to the house another time.

Charming cottage and great location

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay at Isalt. The house is charming and plenty of room for our family of four. Parking is a challenge but we were able to park just in front for our first night when we unloaded our bags.

The location is great and a short walk to everything in Conwy, including the castle walls. Great takeaway fish and chips shop just around the corner. Paul, one of the caretakers, was very friendly and responsive.

We would not hesitate to stay there again.

Fantastic cosy period townhouse.

  • 5 of 5

Isallt is a beautiful Georgian (?) townhouse in Conwy just a few hundred meters up from the pretty little harbour. It has everything you need, is lovely and toasty, and is beautifully decorated throughout. We loved the big comfy king size bed with a mattress that was like sleeping on a cloud! There was usually a parking spot outside the house so it's always worth checking first before you pay to use a car park. Definitely hoping to stay here again.

It was a home, not just a place to stay.

  • 5 of 5

My wife, son and I stayed for only a weekend to attend a family gathering, but I wish it could have been so much longer. The house is perfectly placed to explore Conwy, within the walls of the town and 2 mins walk from the harbour. It is beautifully furnished with everything we needed, including an iron and ironing board! The house was clean and obviously well care for. Whilst parking may be an issue in peak season, we had no difficulty using the public car park 5 mins away.

Thank you Jo .
