The Apartment has been totally up dated and furnished with the same style and elegance as the main house. There is an eclectic mix of antique and contemporary furniture throughout the Apartment which is elegant and very comfortable. As the Apartment is on the top floor of the house, the large Sitting Room has great views out over the Market Square and roof tops of Wilton. Both the bedrooms are a spacious and light and have large new double beds/or twin beds if requested with 100% crisp white bed linen, cupboards for storage, bedside tables and so on. The contemporary kitchen, has also been updated, with a new oven, washer/drier, plenty of shelving and storage etc.

The Apartment is within a Listed Historic (18th century) Town House. The restoration of the house was the subject of a 15 part TV documentary which followed Peter and Sandy's initial restoration of the house back in 2000. More recently the house won the prestigious Period Living Magazine's Town House of the year 2011 Award.

No 3 Kingsbury Square is a great place for couples to escape for a holiday. The area is so peaceful and the landscape is extremely beautiful, yet still close enough for easy access to all of the local amenities.

The rooms are spacious, the décor is tasteful and elegant and my wife and I found it to be very comfortable.

I would definitely stay with Sandy again when visiting this part of the world and would recommend it to anyone looking for a taste of real England outside London.

Comfortable and spacious apartment in a great setting of the town of Wilton

Sandy and her husband Peter are wonderful people. The apartment is located within a short walking distance to a wonderful bakery, coffee/breakfast cafe, lunch cafe, two excellent small lodge affiliated restaurants and a small grocery store. Although we did not utilize the apartment's kitchen it was well appointed. Parking for the apartment is just outside the entry door which is locked via electronic key pad. The apartment itself has a door lock as well. The location is quiet although it is located just off the street. One can hear the soft chiming of the village clock throughout the day. The apartment and town of Wilton are close to many attractions one might want to visit - Stonehenge, Earl of Pembroke's home, Salisbury, etc.. A brief and inexpensive cab ride to Salisbury will provide ample opportunities for tourism, great restaurants, and the train to other areas of the Midlands. The cab will pick up and drop off at the apartment front door. A bus stop is located within sight of the apartment at about a 2 minute walk. At the end of the day sit back in the welcoming living room with a glass of wine and enjoy the quietude with occasional soft chiming of the town clock. Great place to stay! Thanx Sandy!!

Die Vermieter sind ein Muster an Höflichkeit!

Es war alles sehr sehr sauber und bei Fragen wurde einem schnell und unkompliziert geholfen (bis hin zum Wäsche trocknen 😊)

Absolutely empfehlenswert und von der Lage perfekt um die Region zu erkunden (Warminster Salisbury und Stonehenge.....)

beautiful apartment

The lovingly furnished apartment we liked very much. We had a nice short break and enjoyed the location from which we could reach all the sights of the area well. The landlords were very friendly and attentive.

Set in this quintessential English market town there are many family owned shops, cafes, pubs, delicatessen, supermarkets, bank, and take-away restaurants. There is a market on Thursdays. The town is on a main bus route with buses leaving every ten minutes from the Market Square to the rear of the Apartment.

Wilton is only 3 miles from the city of Salisbury whose cathedral boasts the tallest medieval spire in Great Britain. The Cathedral Close is also the setting for an exquisite display of 17th and 18th century houses as well as several museums. With its rich artistic heritage and the only cinema in the world with a medieval hall house as its foyer, Salisbury has much to offer. There is a lively twice weekly market set in the market place next to the Guildhall where you can visit the courtroom from where judges ordered the transportation of convicts to Australia. Megalithic Stonehenge, evocative Old Sarum and amazing Avebury are easily accessed from Salisbury.

Close to bus and train routes Wilton is ideally placed to explore the many iconic attractions in the south of England, as well as being just 30 miles from the nearest beaches. In Wilton itself you will also find Wilton House, home to The Earl and Countess of Pembroke, an Italianate church, and the Wilton Shopping Village, home to the famous Wilton Carpets.
