We've added details and little touches to make you really feel at home

The Annexe is a large, open plan space with a separate, fully appointed kitchen and modern shower room. The private garden is perfect for breakfast on the decking, relaxing, reading or lighting up the barbeque. The Annexe is only for couples (no children, sorry) and it is raised and reached by a flight of stairs. Even though it's attached to the main house, it's independent and you will be undisturbed (we'll be quiet as we head off to work and come home!) You're catering for yourself and to get you started, we'll leave you some yummy things. If we're not around, we're on the mobile and more than happy to help you get to know your way around beautiful Woodbridge. You might even decide you like the look of us enough to invite us over for a glass of wine. We hope you come and stay.

About the Owner

Hello!

We ran a design agency in London and used to visit Suffolk at weekends with our children and fell in love with the place, so we eventually moved here and bought Willow End, in a perfect setting on the edge of Woodbridge Town and have spent years restoring it. When we finally got to the Annexe we thought 'let's make it special for when friends visit'. Then we thought let's rent it to nice holidaymakers too!

It's attached to the main house, self-contained, with all the details and little things to make it a home from home. Our companies (fashion boutique and marketing agency) are also based here.

If you wish, we'll tell you all the best places to eat, shop and visit, and if you're into golf, it's amazing here!

Luxury Hide away for a chill out

This is a fantastic property kitted out to a very high standard and includes lots of luxuries especially the goodies in the fridge. It is spacious and has everything you could need to make your stay perfect. There is a decking area to enjoy the sun. It is very private and quiet but within walking distance to the local pub and Woodbridge. We would love to come back in the future

Perfect hideaway

This property was a delight to stay in. So well appointed, faultless in ever detail, comfortable and beautiful. It's rare to be able to arrive at a holiday home and feel immediately comfortable and well looked after. This place is a perfect for couples. The bed is amazingly comfortable and the shower is to die for! Highly recommended.

Very Relaxing Retreat

What a cool place to stay. So much better than a hotel if you like peace & quiet. The fridge had lots of local produce to make a very tasty breakfast and also to enjoy a bit of bubbly in the very private garden. We took our own wine provisions as well so having a fridge to store it was great. We were lucky enough that even in October the sun shone so we sat outside. The bed clothes were very good quality and it was so quiet, we got a great night's sleep. The walk into Woodbridge along the river is a great and interesting walk which we did twice so would recommend that to people who like walking. We walked back in the evening along the road which doesn't take that long but I recommend a torch for the last lane as it was very dark! We tried the local pub for lunch when we got there and it was very good if you don't want to walk all the way into Woodbridge which has lots of good pubs to pick from. For places to visit, we recommend Southwold which is not difficult to get to and is a lovely quaint town - try lunch on the pier if you visit there. Thanks to Karen and Bill who we never met (as they left us alone) - your place is so lovely and we will definitely be back.

Clean, well maintained, comfortable

We very much enjoyed our stay in the annexe. It's a comfortable and very stylish space to stay in and we looked forward to returning to it at the end of every day. Quiet, out of the way but near to Woodbridge and shops. On the edge of the Sussex Coast and Heaths AONB. TV a little complicated to get signal but worked fine.

There's plenty going on in Suffolk, it's full of creative people, lovely shops and a haven for foodies. If you remember politeness, letting cars out of side streets, kids out playing by themselves, having time to stop and chat, little independent shops and all those old fashioned values, they are still in abundance here. Don't tell anyone though or it will become too busy.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

Located 1 mile from the River Deben and 8 miles from the beautiful heritage coast and beaches. The glorious seaside towns of Dunwich, Aldeburgh, Shingle Street and Southwold are within easy reach.

Travel:

40 minutes from Harwich Ferry Port. 1 hour from Stansted and Southend Airports.

Further Details:

Nearby to the Annexe are the gastronomic delights of The British Larder and The Ufford Crown along with The Galley, The Cross, The Crown and The Riverside where you can enjoy supper and a film. A little further is the super cool Pump Street Bakery. If you would rather cook yourself, there are local food, fish and farm shops and one of Rick Stein's favourite butchers.

Snape Maltings is home to the world famous concert hall and venue of the Aldeburgh Music Festival.

Nearby is the awe inspiring Sutton Hoo Anglo Saxon burial site and the magnificent 12th century castles of Framlingham and Orford. There are also regattas on the river, food and vintage markets and music festivals.

One thing about the Annexe is secure, private parking, which you can't find in the Town. It's also blissfully peaceful. You might see us or one of our neighbours roaming about, but we're a really friendly lot. Four golf courses and a huge selection of restaurants surround us. We didn't want the Annexe to be just another holiday let, it's part of our home and special to us, so we've made it special for guests.
