Luxury Cottage, Stratford upon Avon, Cotswolds. In The Popular Village Of Tiddington Close To Stratford Upon Avon (1.5 Miles / 25 Minute Walk)

Fernleigh Coach House was built in 1882 but converted in 2012 to the highest standards. It retains exposed beams and walls, enhanced with limestone and oak floors throughout. There is a light and airy kitchen with hand painted shaker units and French doors opening onto a sunny patio; a living room with exposed brick wall and beams with stable door to let the sun flow in; a downstairs shower room tiled in limestone with double shower; and stairs leading to the first floor bedroom with double bed and French doors with juliet balcony overlooking the garden. Outside there is a good sized partially walled private sunny patio for you to enjoy al fresco dining. The detached property is located within the grounds of the owners home, with access via a gravelled path. Stratford is only a short drive or walk, but in the village you can relax and enjoy good food and ales at the local pub, deli/tapas bar or restaurants, there’s also a well stocked village shop. Parking is on-street.

Excellent accommodation. Highly Reccommended.

We recently spent a week in this excellent accommodation. We were welcomed by Karin and Matt who gave us all the information regarding the coach house and also what to see and do in the area. The house was spotlessly clean, warm and very comfortable. It has a very well equipped kitchen, comfortable settee and bed and also a selection of books and dvd's. There are buses through the village to Stratford, Warwick and Leamington Spa and Stratford is only a short walk away.

It has it all.

Beautiful and very tasteful accommodation in a peaceful and private setting. A great selection of places to eat only a stroll away. A Spar shop that stocks just about everything, a local bakery and all this with out venturing out of Tiddington. Stunning Stratford is either a short walk, a bus ride or a water taxi. The location make this property an ideal base for Stratford and surrounding areas. We will definitely return and not hesitate to recommend.

Peaceful and relaxing

Karin and Matt have put a lot of effort into making the Coach House a very well-appointed place to spend a relaxing week. Being so close to facilities was so handy, yet you are tucked away in your own peaceful little niche with a lovely garden to sit and look at. We enjoyed the Indian restaurant and used the Spar shop every day. Tiddington is the ideal place from which to explore the local area, and we would recommend the Coach House as a very comfortable place to stay.

Karin and Matt were the ideal hosts, never intruding, but we felt they were there if we needed local advice or information.

First class .

We were thrilled with this lovely coach house ,Have had the best time visiting national trust houses and gardens ,walks all around Stratford Upon Avon ,Warwick races, so much to do and see. To come back to relax in such a comfortable home and not have to cook as eating out in the pub or Indian and Chinese restaurants all within a few minutes walk away was a big plus , Karin and Mathew were so welcoming and made our holiday very relaxing . We hope to go back again some day . A truly lovely place to stay ,

Wonderful high specification coach house for 2 ideally situated to explore the Stratford area.

We have just spent a really enjoyable week at The Fernleigh Coach House in Tiddington near Stratford. The property was fitted, equipped and maintained to the highest standards, that little bit of luxury topped off with a welcome bottle of Prosecco in the fridge. Karin and Matt were friendly hosts but not intrusive allowing us to enjoy the stay from start to finish while being there if we needed them. The Coach house has all that you need as well as a good wifi connection.

Tiddington is a small village with all the facilities on hand, a cash machine, Spa store, local pub and other eating places, much choice all within walking distance.

Stratford is only 1.5 miles or a 30 minute stroll along the main road. This allows you to explore on foot and have a drink without needing to drive. A wide range of golf locally as well as Warwick within 10 miles,Cheltenham an hour, and plenty of rural locations to explore.

This was a really exceptional property in an ideal location to stop the world and get off.

FABULOUS !!!!

Lovely accommodation in an excellent location. From front of house we were AMAZED at the privacy the coach house had. We loved it.

Although so quiet, you are still within 100yards of amenities such as a shop, pub, bakers, and try the Indian restaurant - lovely food and VERY reasonable (esp Sun-Thurs).

This is a wonderful base for visiting Stratford-upon-Avon (easy to walk.(on both sides of river), and surrounding areas.

This coach house was recommend to us and we would recommend to anybody.

If you're looking for culture, shopping, racing, eating, relaxing or walking in tranquil countryside you couldn't find a better place. The property is ideally located for exploring Stratford upon Avon (1.5 miles), with its many excellent shops, restaurants, cafes and world famous Royal Shakespeare theatres. Walk, row or punt along the River Avon or picnic in the park. Visit historic Warwick with England's finest medieval castle and Madame Tussauds (9 miles). Also the fine regency town of Royal Leamington Spa (12 miles) with its individual shops and Victorian parks. The stunning rolling countryside of the Cotswolds with its quaint English villages of sunny yellow Cotswold stone (20 miles) (Moreton in Marsh, Stow on the Wold, Chipping Camden & Burford). There are a wealth of National Trust properties on the doorstep (Hidcote Manor, Coughton Court, Baddesley Clinton, Packwood House, Upton House and Charlecote Park). Other historic homes include Ragley Hall and Blenheim Palace. The designer shopping outlet, Bicester Village, is within 40 minutes drive.

There are excellent walks nearby including the Heart of England Way and Monarchs Way.

In the village there are ample places to eat and drink, so you don't need to drive your car. There is a village pub with good food, 3 restaurants (the very popular Connolly's Tapas Bar with great food and atmosphere; a popular Cantonese restaurant with takeaway (Mr Chan's), a famous and award winning Indian restaurant with takeaway (Aladdin’s), a well stocked village shop (Spar), a cash-point machine, an off-licence, a beauticians (Wendy O'Hare Skin Care) and fine-art auctioneers (Bigwoods). In the neighbouring village of Alveston (1 mile/20 minutes walk) you have another excellent village pub (The Ferry) or gastro dining at the Baraset Barn.

The nearest supermarkets are in Stratford where you will find Waitrose, Tesco, Morrisons and Aldi.

There is horse racing at Stratford, Warwick and Cheltenham and motor racing at Silverstone (see distances above).

Due to the nature of the property we are unable to accommodate children or pets. No smoking is allowed. Outside: The Coach House has a west facing private patio that enjoys the sun all afternoon and into the evening. A table and chairs and BBQ are provided for you to relax and enjoy alfresco dining. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and bed linen are included. There is a welcome pack consisting of: wine, tea, coffee, milk and sugar. There is a well stock SPAR mini supermarket a few doors away, it is open from 6am to 10pm, where you can buy most things. There is also an ATM machine and post office at the SPAR.
