The Captains Lookout is a 3 bed property with fantastic sea views, where you can watch the big container ships, yachts, ferries & ocean cruisers pass by. The property has recently been refurbished to create a comfortable and relaxing home, which is well equipped with a large lounge, balcony, kitchen diner, lovely new bathroom & a full sized table tennis table. The nearest beach is the prestigious Seagrove Bay which is just a 4min stroll away. Walking further in either direction are the beaches of Priory Bay & Seaview. This mixture of safe, sandy beaches and rocks is great for swimming or spending hours of fun “crabbing” or just exploring the rock pools. First class restaurants & pubs are a 10min walk away. Tesco Extra is 10min drive. Fun days out at places such as Seaview Wildlife Park, Waltzing Waters or Ryde’s boating lake & swimming pool are within 10min drive. This is a lovely, peaceful location which you will not want to leave. No smoking permitted. Sorry no pets.

A very relaxing stay

We had a very relaxing stay at this property - it was so quiet. Lovely views from the veranda out to the east side of the island, watching the ships go by. All in all very comfortable.

Excellent Property, super location, a real treat.

Lovely bungalow in a very quiet location with super sea views, sandy beaches a short stroll away. The modest description is outshined by the reality with every facility provided for a carefree comfortable holiday break.

My wife & I travelled with 85 year old mother-in-law who proclaimed it as "perfect, I can think of no better place" praising (& continues to) the choice. That says it all I think!

Martin was very quick to respond before & after the break, nothing was too much trouble. We intend returning.

We ate at The Boatman & Old Fort, both excellent. Good supermarkets a short drive away. We enjoyed the table tennis in the garage.

Excellent holiday accommodation in ideal location

Six of us had a fabulous week staying in ''Captain's Lookout'' (4 adults, 2 small children). Lovely beaches easily reached by foot. We ate at ''The Old Ford'', ''Seaview Hotel'' and ''Seaview Bistro''. All first-class. There is a very good ''Londis'' supermarket 15 minutes walking distance in Netlestone. Martin was very helpful with a couple of pre-visit enquiries. All in all, a very good week.

A very good family let

The photos do not really do it justice - it was well equipped for the basics you need and decked out in a theme which the kids really enjoyed. It is very spacious for the number of berths and there is a large private garden out the back. The views from the front room are better than the telly!

Excellent holiday home in a wonderful location

We have just had a fantastic week staying at Captain's Lookout with our 5 year old daughter.

The property is excellent - really clean and very well equipped in a perfect location for families. We loved the sea views from the house as well as the ability to walk down to the beach in minutes.

While it is a great base to visit places on the Island, you also can spend days without using the car and just wander down to the beach and into Seaview.

We would highly recommend Captain's Lookout and will definitely be returning.

Superb, near ferry, shops, beach and attractions.

Ideally located, on the east side close to the beach if you want to see sunrise..... well equipped and very organised. I took a couple of friends and used it as a base for walking and cycling. We all agreed we would definitely return and bring our families.

The Isle of Wight is situated approx 3 miles off the English Southern coastline. Known for its breathtaking scenery, much of the Island is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Visitors are attracted each year to its scenic coastline, award winning golden beaches, charming little villages and temperate climate– it boasts more hours of sunshine than most other destinations in Britain.

The Island is a wonderful holiday destination, catering for all ages and interests

- Sea lovers will appreciate the proximity to the beach & numerous water sports on offer

- Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the footpaths, cycling routes, plentiful golf courses, fishing and tree climbing

First class restaurants and pubs are a 10 min walk away. Local amenities are 5 min walk and Tesco Extra is a 10 min drive. Other larger shops can be found in Newport (the "capital") which is approx 25 min drive away. Fun days out are a short drive away - Seaview Wildlife Park (5 min), Waltzing Waters (10 min), Ryde's boating lake and swimming pool (10 min). You are never more than 45 min drive away from anything on the Isle of Wight due to its size.

Booking Notes:
No Smoking permitted at this property. Sorry no pets. The full rental amount is payable 8 weeks prior to the start of the holiday, or payment in full if booked less than 8 weeks before the start date. A £200 deposit (to be paid at time of booking) is required for breakage / damage and should the booking be cancelled. If the booking is cancelled this will not be returned. If there are no breakages/damage, the deposit will be returned 2 weeks after completion of holiday. Late bookings taken.

Changeover Day:
The changeover day is normally Friday. This can be changed / is flexible during off peak periods and for short breaks etc.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the full week (7 nights).

Short breaks are available, with the exception of peak season, school holidays and bank holidays.

Short break rates are as follows:- 2 night stay = Total price £250 ; 3 or more nights = £100 per night.
