Overview

About the property

Cottage in Leominster, Herefordshire, England - Beautiful Black And White Timber Framed Cottage With High Quality Traditional Furnishings

Rose Cottage is a charming black and white Tudor cottage which has been meticulously restored, inside and out, keeping the charm and authenticity of the property’s original period features intact. Whilst the traditional furnishings and paintings are high quality items, Rose Cottage has all the modern amenities a guest would expect from a newly restored property. The cottage offers very comfortable accommodation for 4 guests with two bedrooms. The detached cottage is entirely self contained with private parking and a fenced garden – ideal for young children and pets. The garden has outdoor seating (benches and tables) and a barbecue for summer. The cottage is located in a quiet hamlet between Weobley and Leominster, surrounded by 300 acres of organic farmland and cider orchards. There are many attractions nearby, in particular plenty of footpaths for keen walkers, quiet road for cyclists and Britain’s first Michelin Starred pub (The Stagg Inn) within 10 miles.

Not Dog Friendly

  • 3 of 5

This is indeed a beautiful cottage in a beautiful location, but when the weather turns to rain keeping the light coloured carpets clean when you take dogs becomes a nightmare. No cleaning equipment, you are expected to visit the local supermarket and purchase the necessary carpet cleaning equipment and spend the rest of your holiday trying to keep the carpet clean. Paying an insurance premium of £100 is like throwing it away. According to the owner the cost of cleaning the carpet cost £160, if anybody in Herford is thinking of starting a new business may I suggest a carpet cleaning enterprise. Like I said early, beautiful cottage but not dog friendly

Ideal Rural Retreat in Herefordshire

  • 5 of 5

We had a very enjoyable stay at Rose Cottage which provides well equipped accommodation for four in an unspoilt rural setting. We were able to take our dog with us and the large garden was perfect for him to explore and for us to enjoy in the early evening sun. The cottage is ideally placed to explore Herefordshire and Shropshire and is perfect if you wish to get away from it all. There is no wifi (though the mobile phone signal is strong) and no shops or pubs within walking distance; however, this will make it perfect for those, like us, who are looking for a quiet, lazy week .

Beautiful cottage in an ideal location.

  • 5 of 5

Rose cottage is a lovely haven in the heart of Herefordshire. Perfect location to explore the surrounding towns and villages in this beautiful unspoilt county. The cottage itself is so well equipped that it feels like a home from home. The design and decor of the cottage is charming and tasteful. My family and I spent another lovely week here, walking, cycling, visiting nearby attractions such as Queens wood, Croft Castle and the amazing book shops in nearby Hay on Wye. The children enjoyed the freedom of exploring the surrounding countryside and the large cottage garden. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Perfect get away

  • 5 of 5

I am so pleased to have come across this amazing cottage. It was perfect for our needs and was a lovely charming cottage which was want we wanted. The log burner made the evening relaxing and cosy. The dogs enjoyed the big garden to run around too. The welcome pack of eggs and bread etc was a lovely bonus. Location was good, and not too far away from a couple of lovely National Trust places Berrington and Croft Castle.

Was worried about the cottage being on the corner of the road but had no problems or anything to be concerned about.

Would recommend and stay there again.
