2 bedroom holiday home close to beach

Beachtop is situated in the Pembrokeshire National Park very close to Freshwater East bay. Freshwater village is situated on top of cliffs facing south. It has one Inn, a post box and phone. A short drive downhill, brings you to the holiday village with some newly built homes on the front. The park has a clubhouse with shop inside the entrance. The beach is over half a mile long with soft sand and coloured pebbles. There are extensive sand dunes with wild flowers and many footpaths to explore. A fresh stream spills down onto the beach. A few miles away are the ruins of Lamphey palace, Pembroke castle which is very impressive, and the National Trust properties and ponds at Bosherston near Stackpole. Here there are miles of wooded walks around small lakes which end at another impressive beach called Broad Haven (south) Good for birdwatching and wildlife. The very popular resort of Tenby is about 10 miles away from Freshwater East, and Saundersfoot a few miles further again.

About the Owner

My wife and I purchased Beachtop in October 2006, and spent the winter months renovating it. We always enjoy using it ourselves, when time allows. I have lived in Pembrokeshire all of my life, and obviously know the area very well. My wife moved from Hertfordshire in the late 1970s, and also enjoys the county's way of life and outstanding scenery. We both think it important to keep our property well presented and clean, and strive to achieve this. Our hobbies include walking, wildlife spotting and sightseeing when not working. We live about 12 miles away from Beachtop.

We love this location because it is so close to the beach. The site is sheltered and we find that there is a happy, friendly, holiday feel between the people staying on site.

Cardiff airport about 90 minutes.

Car is essential here. But a bus service does run at certain times.


Lamphey village 2 miles. Pembroke 4 miles, Tenby 10 miles, Haverfordwest 15 miles.

Further Details:

Lamphey village has a petrol station with small supermarket and a local bakery about 2 miles away.

Pembroke has many shops to explore, including the Norman castle.
