Flat in Ventnor, Isle of Wight, England. Quiet Location 10 min walk to Town, 15 min walk to Beach

Our lovely light and spacious Victorian flat is situated in Ventnor on the beautiful southern coast of the Isle of Wight. It's between Ventnor and the pretty town of Bonchurch, and sleeps four in two bedrooms.

The flat has been renovated to an extremely high standard and offers period charm with modern conveniences. It has stunning sea views from the sitting room and kitchen and also from the large sun terrace, situated to the front. The terrace is a great place for al-fresco dining! The master bedroom has a king size bed with an en- suite bathroom with power shower. The second bedroom can be a double or twin room. Both bedrooms have quality bed linens. There is a further family size bathroom with bath and shower. The spacious sitting room has plenty of space to relax in comfortable seating! TV (Freeview), Wi-Fi, DVDs and board games are provided. The brand new eat- in kitchen is fully equipped. There is an allocated parking space too.

The town of Ventnor is renowned as exceptionally sunny due to its micro- climate! The town is 10 minutes’ walk from our flat and features lovely restaurants; The Hillside Bistro, Cantina and El Toro Contento, to name a few. Ventnor beach is a couple of minutes from the town. There are a further 17 Blue Flag beaches on the island and the spectacular downs are close by.

We have bought this apartment from the previous owners Jenni and Doug, so there may be some minor decor alterations from the pictures. We aim to meet the same high standards as previously!

Hello and welcome to our Owners Direct page.

We are Georgina and Tom. We fell in love with the Isle of Wight earlier this year and were lucky enough to then find and purchase this delightful flat from Jenni and Doug, the previous owners.

There is so much to see and do for all ages, with a spectacular coastline and half the Island designated as an Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty, it truly is a very special place to be at any time of year.

We are looking forward to many happy family holidays here and invite you to do the same!

Notes on accommodation: Strictly no smoking and sorry, pets are not allowed. Wifi is available and the code is in the welcome folder. Families are very welcome but please note that we do not provide a cot or high-chair, simply due to lack of storage space. Guests are welcome to bring a travel cot/high chair with them. The outside terrace is elevated and is not a secure area and therefore young children will need to be closely supervised. Please contact us if you would like further information. Outside: The apartment has its own terrace overlooking the sea, with table and chairs for Al Fresco dining Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels, tea towels and bed linen provided and reasonable cleaning costs included in rental price. The property will be cleaned for your arrival and all beds made up to your requirements. Other: Private parking space and outside terrace with table and 4 chairs.

PERFECTION

Flat was beautiful, large, a REAL shower (walk in) we never used the other one, well equipped, kitchen had everything we needed, clean, views of English Channel fantastic. Co-op and Tesco within walking distance. Co-op will deliver free if you spend 25 or more. Ventnor a beautiful town and nice and quiet at night. Georgina always got right back to us with any questions we had. She could not have been any nicer to us, a really nice person who takes great pride in her beautiful flat. Lottie who is the cleaner does a great job and was helpful too. We spent a month in this flat and would love to return next year.

Excellent property, very clean, stylish and well equipped. Good location.

An all round excellent place to stay on the edge of Ventnor.

Flat was spotlessly clean, well equipped and had brilliant sea views.

Good location, only a 10 minute walk to Ventnor beach and very close to the bus route for easy access to the whole island.

Would not hesitate to book again.

Great apartment. Comfortable,well appointed clean and homely.

Despite poor weather we enjoyed our week enormously. We were comfortable and warm. It is a lovely place to stay whatever the weather.

Plenty of books, games DVDs etc for entertainment and the view is amazing.

Loved it . We will return.

A fantastic property

We stayed for a week in August 2017, this was a perfect property to explore the island. The living room and kitchen had great sea views and the property was well maintained and clean throughout.

Everything was exactly as described and we had no issues at all with the property, and communication prior to our stay was excellent.

Location

Coast/Beach:

Ventnor 'blue flag award' beach is a pleasant 15 mins walk away and is a mix of sand and fine shingle. There is pay and display parking available on Ventnor sea front should you wish to take the car. Ventnor Esplanade has a good selection of shops, bars, restaurants and cafes and there are public toilets close to the childrens paddling pool

Travel:

Red Funnel vehicle ferries travel to the Island from Southampton to East Cowes. Wightlink vehicle Ferries travel to the Island from Lymington to Yarmouth and from Portsmouth to Fishbourne. Foot Passengers can travel via red funnels passenger 'Red Jet' service from Southampton to West Cowes and Wightlink provide a fast cat service from Ryde to Portsmouth.

Trains run from Ryde Pier Head to Shanklin

Distances:

Shanklin 3.5 miles (7 mins by car)

Sandown 6 miles (11 mins by Car)

Morrisons supermarket, Lake. 5 miles (10 mins by car)

Newport 12 miles (25 mins by car) This is the 'capital' of the Isle of Wight and here you will find the cinema and many high street stores mixed in with local independent shops.

Further Details:

Ventnor has a very good selection of shops, restaurants, bars and cafes, with some good independent shops selling fresh local produce as well as 'high street' stores such as Boots, Tesco Express and a Co-op supermarket.

You can also book grocery shopping from either Tesco or Sainsburys to be delivered. I think Waitrose may deliver too!
