Skye Cottage is situated in the old part of Padstow, in a very quiet street, just ten minute walk from centre of town. Parking, which is pretty rare in Padstow, is on your doorstep. The house is just nine years old but has been built in the old Cornish tradition, with slates front and the back garden is a fantastic sun trap. Within short walking distance you will be in the harbour, where all the famous restaurants of Padstow are located. Shops and pubs are also just down the road. Padstow is a perfect base from which to explore the whole county of Cornwall, not far from any of the other attractions such as Eden Project, Port Isaac, St Ives and the beaches of Trevone, Harlyn, Constantine, Treyarnon, Newquay, Watergate, Mawgan Porth and the famous coast path walk.

About Adriana Bringuenti

I am a Brazilian lady who have been living in the UK for 27 years, 23 of which in Cornwall where I have made my home and can't think of leaving this place. I have always lived in this area, first in Bloomfield, Trevone (E6352), Padstow for 12 years, where I have Skye Cottage and now in Mawgan Porth. I am married to a local chap and both my daughters were born here, where they follow on their dad's footsteps playing golf, surfing and life-guarding during the Summer.

Why Adriana Bringuenti chose North Cornwall

We built Skye Cottage from scratch on the grounds of Garslade - the house over the gate, from where I ran a B&B for 12 years. The idea was to add a couple of bedrooms to the B&B but we ended up building a proper house, which is now being rented as self-catering since we no longer own Garslade. The house has a modern feel to it, with ceramic floors downstairs and underfloor heating, and oak floors upstairs. The bathrooms upstairs also have underfloor heating.

What makes this cottage unique

PARKING, PARKING, PARKING. PRIVATE PARKING. Sorry to bang on about it, but it's very rare in the old part of Padstow to have your own parking space, in a property that's so near all the amenities of the town. Another major attraction is that both rooms are en-suite, which is very welcomed by couples who come on holiday together. Another bathroom downstairs will let you sort out the sand you bring from the beach.

Dogs should be restricted to the ground floor of the property and should be kept off the furniture and not left unaccompanied in the property at any time. £25/pet fee is payable. Great property in Padstow with that all important parking space.

We had a great time in Padstow, and Skye Cottage was fantastic.

The downstairs shower was great for washing the dog after a muddy walk.

The cottage is extremely spacious, and very comfortable.

Adriana was extremely kind, and always available to answer any of our questions.

Can't wait to go back in the near future.

Lovely, comfortable, well equipped and very clean house

The house was perfectly located and immaculately maintained. Unfortunately the weather was wet and cold all week but we were very warm and comfortable in Skye cottage. The kitchen was very well equipped, the lounge was comfortable and the beds were extremely comfortable. It was also very handy having a downstairs bathroom as well as two ensuites upstairs. Adriana's attention to detail was much appreciated.

Beautifully fitted out to a very high spec underfloor heating 3 showers everything top of the range spotlessly kept cannot find a single fault. Location excellent just 3 minutes walk from the harbour 5star

Great property within walking distance of harbour

Arrived on the 19th December for a Christmas break in Padstow, newly built well furnished property within walking distance of Padstow and its lovely harbour, a lovely hamper was awaiting us on our arrival!! This will definitely be a superb summer cottage as there are double French doors leading out to a great patio area, but not the best for the winter months. Adrianna could not have done more for us during the booking and run up to our stay. I would highly recommend this property but book early to avoid a summer disappointment.

Booking Notes: I do not have any agreement with Owners Direct for booking through them so you DO NOT have to pay them any extra fee. Please contact me directly for payment
Booking is made either by phone or e-mail. I do not take cards and a deposit is required prior to booking confirmation. The amount of the deposit will depend on the season and the full amount to be paid, but it's normally 40%. Payment is made either by cheque or Internet banking. Payment for short breaks of up to four nights is paid in full at the time of booking. Contact me directly for payment

Changeover day is Friday but I am very flexible during low season. Please contact me for alternative arrangements. No cards, sorry. A fee of £25.00/dog is also charge (minimum of two dogs).
Terms & Conditions:
Payment of 40% is required on booking, made by cheque or internet banking. The balance is to be paid six weeks before arrival. If booking is made less than six weeks before arrival, full payment is required on booking.
Guests cancelling up to four weeks before arrival will receive 50% of the balance money
Guests cancelling up to two weeks before arrival will receive 25% of the balance money
Deposit money is non-refundable and all cancellations have to be made in writing
Note: Bad weather and therefore inability to drive to Cornwall is not my fault!
