Hawkwell House Cottage is a charming single-storey cottage adjoining Hawkwell House. The cottage, believed to have once been the old stables to the main house, is immaculately presented and beautifully furnished throughout. Accommodation comprises an entrance porch leading to a spacious open plan kitchen and sitting area with inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove. Utility room with washing machine, separate drier and ironing board. Comfortable sitting room with wood burning stove and television. One double bedroom with spacious en suite shower facilities. One twin room with a separate bathroom with overhead shower. Hair-dryer provided. Secure private garden to the front of the property with garden furniture. Access to a shared tennis court. Private parking area.

Gorgeous cottage in lovely part of the country!

This is an immaculately presented cottage with luxury finishes like plush towels and nice bedding. The cottage has everything you need and the owner kindly left basics such as tea bags, sugar, washing up liquid etc and even a bottle of wine and cookies. We love Northumberland and this was a great base to explore it from.

A little corner of paradise

Hawkwell cottage is an absolutely gorgeous place to stay and a real 'find'

If you are looking to stay in 5 star accommodation then look no further. It is maintained to the highest standard, superbly equipped, spotless and very comfortable. It is so cosy especially when it's cold outside boasting not just one but 2 multi fuel stoves.

The setting of the cottage is idyllic in the hamlet of Hawkwell which joins onto the picturesque village of Stamfordham. If you enjoy a game of tennis guests can play on the court of the main Hawkwell house. The cottage has an entirely separate garden and entrance making it private to the main house.

There is a pedestrian access into Stamfordham over 2 tiny foot bridges making a lovely walk past the church which leads to the Swinburne Arms, a friendly traditional pub with a recently opened village shop. A great place to stop! There are endless activities and excursions close by and the cottage has an excellent array of suggestions for days out/activities and dining.

I really can't recommend this beautiful property highly enough.

Notes on accommodation: Hawkwell House cottage has night store heating and solid fuel stoves (fuel is provided) and underfloor heating in both bathrooms. The cottage is non smoking and unfortunately pets cannot be accommodated. There is a telephone which only takes incoming calls. Outside: The cottage has is own private and secure front garden with garden furniture. The cottage adjoins Hawkwell House and guests are welcome to share the use of the tennis court and the gardens immediately around the tennis court. Cyclists can store their bicycles in the old stables. There is a cold water supply so bikes can be cleaned easily. Utility Room: Separate utility room with washing machine, dryer and iron and ironing board. Hoover and cleaning equipment stored. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are incuded in the rent. Beds will be made up for your arrival. Other: Entrance porch for storing coats, footwear and tennis raquets.
