The western upper apartment in this iconic listed Renaissance palace is offered for short-term rentals. It’s a two-floor section of the house, with an area of 170 m2 and beds for 4 adults plus optional baby cot. The bedrooms have air conditioning. The apartment has two fantastic terraces facing west with beautiful sunset views over the mountains. Also very nice views of the Royal Castle and Cathedral, both of whom are located, literally, next door. The place is calm and peaceful in spite of its central location, and restaurants, bars and shopping can still be found within less than a 100 yards walk. Bus, taxi and car rental can be found nearby, there’s only a 5 minute walk to the sea and 15 minutes by foot to the nearest sand beach. Beautiful Parc de la Mar with its mix of trees, cosy cafés and playgrounds is just around the corner. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen for cooking. Internet is also included.

Lovely apartment

We stayed in this apartment for a long weekend as a group of old friends away to celebrate a birthday. this apartment is beautiful and very well equipped. The upstairs terrace is particularly lovely, a perfect place to hang out with a bottle of wine or two!

We also had chef Martin to cook for us one evening, (the owner can provide details) he cooked us a really delicious 4 coarse Majorcan style meal in the apartment and we ate it outside on one of the terraces. It was great value and a lovely thing to do.

Would definitely return!

Lovely Apartment

Stayed at this beautiful apartment over the Easter weekend 2014. We are a family of 4 with 2 boys of 14 & 11 and it worked really well for us. The apartment is on the second floor of an old palacio so you enter through an old traditional central courtyard which is shared among a few (3 or 4?) apartments. The property is very well kept & clean and very secure and although the other apartments had people in we were never disturbed or heard noise. It is in a perfect location for enjoying the delights of Palma old town being right on the corner by the cathedral. The apartment itself is very spacious with much more room than we needed and is beautifully decorated and lovingly furnished in a style very sympathetic to the age of the building. Although we didn't cook, the kitchen is very well kitted out. The apartment is on 2 floors with the kitchen, living room and a double bedroom suite on the lower floor and an additional bedroom suite (can be a double or 2 single beds) on the upper floor, up a narrow, steep, stone spiral staircase which my boys loved but would not be good for anyone with mobility issues or very young children. We found the shower in a cubicle in the upper suite better than the shower over the very charming free standing bath in the lower suite & hence all of us used it. There is even a washer and dryer upstairs.

By far the best feature though is the gorgeous big balcony on the upper floor set-up for lounging. We loved sitting here at sundown, on comfy daybeds, boys with phones in hand (apartment has good WiFi) Mr & me with a glass of wine. Just lovely.

If you are looking for a charming Mallorcan apartment in a good location and don't mind steps you'll love this apartment.

Beautiful apartment in central Palma

Loved this apartment - was perfect for a short break- easy access to all the sights of the centre, a stones throw from the cathedral but still quiet. Really beautifully furbished, full of character apartment, the terraces and views are stunning. Maria who greeted us was also so helpful. Will definitely consider again

Only minor points for consideration:

I would not recommend for people travelling with small children ( toddlers) as few of the stairs are not child friendly- mezzanine floor

Bathrooms could also maybe be updated long term- would be good to have a more modern power shower

Ideas for owner:

Put a guest book in the apartment so people can add their comments, and recommendations on places in Palma

Maybe offer ability for welcome pack- of food essentials- millk, bread for arrival

Very central and beautiful location

Wunderschönes Appartmen in Traumlage

Wir waren hier für 1 Woche mit 2 Personen. Die Lage ist sehr zentral (direkt bei der Kathedrale) und perfekt, da man alles zu Fuss erreichen kann. Das Appartment ist traumhaft schön. Wir haben uns sehr wohl und sicher gefühlt. Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin Alicia war sehr nett und auch der Kontakt mit Gabriel, der die Schlüsselübergabe gemacht hat, war sehr nett und freundlich. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Einfach wunderschön. Wir kommen gern wieder. Muy bien y muchas gracias, Alicia!Wunderschönes

About 5 minutes walk to the Palma seafront, 15 minutes walk to Palma city beach for swimming and beach life. Many more beaches within 20 minutes drive and all over the island.

Travel:

Palma Airport at 15 minutes by car. Palma ferry port at 10 minutes by car. Car recommended for travel around the island, though Palma city itself is pedestrian-friendly and has a good bus network.
