Meadow view is a cosy 19th century Lakeland stone cottage. The cottage is accessed from the side via the porch, the inner door leads into the open plan lounge and kitchen/dining area. Double glazed French windows provide uninterrupted views across Naddle Valley and also access to the garden. Stairs lead up from the living room to the first floor landing. Leading off the landing are the spacious double bedroom and separate bathroom. Outside is a lovely stone walled garden. At the end of the garden is ample private parking and also the original wash house. Surrounded by fields to the front and open fell land to the rear, Meadow View is the ideal location for a truly quiet get-a-way or a great base for walking with numerous walks from the doorstep. Three of the highest mountains Helvellyn, Blencathra and Skiddaw are all within a short 15 minute drive.

The market town of Keswick is approximately 3 miles away. Grasmere village, with it's Wordsworth connections is 9 miles. The M6 motorway approximately 18 miles. The nearest railway station is at Penrith approximately 18 miles. The City of Carlisle is 35 miles away.

Naddle is tucked away in its own stunning valley. Every way you turn there are spectacular views Helvellyn, Blencathra and Skiddaw all provide dramatic backdrops. The valley is very serene, ideal for walkers, mountain bikers, photographers or nature lovers, or just those who want to wind down, relax and enjoy the peace of the Lake District.

The market town of Keswick has many attractions, hop on a launch and take a boat trip around Derwentwater, one of the most scenic lakes in the Lake District, watch a play at the famous Theatre by the Lake or just browse the shops in the pedestrianised market place. There are a wide selection of cafés, galleries, a cinema, leisure pool and award winning town parks, something for everyone.

  • Notes on accommodation: Electricity, bedding, towels and an initial supply of wood/coal for the wood burner are included in the price. The cottage has 4 thermostatically controlled electric panel heaters plus the wood burning stove for heating. Welcome pack including, milk, tea, coffee and biscuits on arrival. Non-smoking. Sorry from the end of March 2012, no further bookings including dogs will be taken, but please be aware that some forward bookings have a dog. Free Wi-Fi is available. Outside: Outside is a lovely stone walled garden with outdoor furniture and magnificent views. The original wash house has secure storage for bikes/outdoor equipment and also houses the washing machine and tumble dryer. Utility Room: The original wash house at the end of the garden, contains the washing machine, tumble dryer, garden chairs, and ample secure storage for bikes and outdoor equipment. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bed linen, and towels are included. The property is thoroughly cleaned by the owner before each visit.
