3 star. Well equipped barn conversion. Carpet throughout. Lounge with small wood burning stove & night storage heaters. Kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, electric cooker, microwave, fridge with freezer box. Dining area with table to seat 6. Lounge has one two seater double bed settee and one two seater sofa. TV, DVD & CD player. Upstairs it has a double bedroom, bunk bed room(3 foot wide beds) and bathroom with shower. Hair-dryer. To the side there is a private garden area with garden furniture /washing line. At the entrance an enclosed yard area. Travel Cot & High chair available free of charge. Bedding, tea towels and electric included. Towels available for hire. 1 well behaved dog may be taken by prior arrangement only.
There is allocated parking beside the cottage entrance.
Four well equipped cottages situated on the side of a valley, in an area of 'out standing natural beauty', nr the Helford River. We have panoramic views, where you may see beautiful sunsets or stormy skies travelling across the valley. All the cottages have their own private patio or garden areas, as well as a communal play area outside and indoor table tennis. Within walking distance, a National Trust footpath borders the farm to the river & we also have our own private woodland trail. Mudgeon Vean is perfect for exploring the local villages/towns & has the beaches of the Lizard Peninsula only a short drive away. Here we also produce Helford Creek Apple Juice & Cyder using our own and local orchards. We have goats, cats,dogs, chickens and ducks and in our fields we have dairy cows, which graze our fields in between crop rotations.
Helford River area consists of beautiful atmospheric, ancient oak woodland, intertwined with valleys and fields.
High hedges that have an abundance of wild flowers such as blue bells, primroses, pink campion and beautiful ferns in Spring and Summer, with overhanging contorted Oak, Blackthorn, Sycamore and Ash trees.
We have panoramic views above the Helford River area where the skies are constantly changing.
Beaches and rugged coastline of the Lizard are only 20 mins drive.
Our cottages are for those who want to experience staying in the heart of the countryside, surrounded by fields and ancient woodland, where children can explore and see nature at its finest.
We have our own private woodland trail and the farm borders a National Trust Footpath to Tremayne Quay (built for Queen Victorias visit - although she never came) Frenchmans Creek and picturesque Helford Village are only 15 mins drive.
The farm is an ideal base to explore the surrounding areas and beaches in and around the Lizard Peninsula.
Change-over day is Friday. Arrival from 4pm and depart by 10 am.
We offer short breaks off peak.
