About the property

House in Aberdovey, Snowdonia National Park, Wales - A 15 Minute Walk To The Sanddunes Or 5 Minute Drive To The Sandy Beaches At Aberdyfi Or Tywyn

Rhowniar is a Grade 2 listed house, which we have renovated back to the grand house it was. But have included the modern material comforts. The house is large enough to hold groups of all ages without suffocating, as it has many rooms and things to occupy everyone. It's situated in 10 acres of private grounds, over looking Cardigan Bay and Aberdyfi golf coarse. Idealy sited for beach or mountain activities. Aberdyfi is one of the most beauifull and unspoiled coastal villages in the UK and Tywyn is the home of the Tall-y-llyn Steam Railway.

About John Vaughan-Jones

My name is John Vaughan-Jones I was born in Tywyn and live next to Rhowniar with my wife and daughter. When Rhowniar came up for sale in 1990's my brothers & I fell in love with it. The house was in a poor state and took 5 years to modernize and repair back to what was. We are continually trying to improve and preserve the house. The house is in a prefect location and made for large family groups. all the profits go back into the house and grounds, it's great when our repeat customers return and congratulate us on further improvements.

What makes this house unique

This property is 2 miles away from one of the most beautiful coastal villages in Britian Aberdyfi has every thing a family requires for a traditional holiday, this can make it a very busy place. So returning to your own 10 acre grounds, to a house so big even the kids won't disturb you gives you a holiday.

We have families who will spend a day in Rhowniar and not go to the beach.

If it rains many stay in the house without tripping over one another and love it .

Fabulous venue

  • 4 of 5

Rhownair is an absolutely brilliant place! Plenty of space to play hide and seek and just a short walk to the beach. Great facilities, if a little tired but great for large groups who just want to get together to have fun- will definitely be coming back!
