Apartment on two floors - great ski location, secluded, yet close to the main Grand Massif ski lift

Apartment Exige is a delightful, homely apartment in a peaceful location. The apartment has modern furnishings throughout, and downstairs, a fantastic open plan kitchen and lounge is superbly equipped. Upstairs, two big en-suite bedrooms have luxurious super king size double beds. A bunk bed in an adjoining bedroom is perfect for children young and old. Apartment Exige boasts easy access to the village amenities and leisure facilities and is perfectly located for summer and winter. It sits in a tranquil, private corner of the picturesque village of Morillon, only a short walk from the main ski lift giving access to Flaine and the outstanding Grand Massif ski area. Access to Morillon is excellent: it is within 1hr of Geneva airport, 7-8 hours from Calais and a short drive from the major resorts of Chamonix, Annecy and Morzine.

Fantastic location for a family holiday

This apartment is clean and functional, providing a great base to explore this fab location and enjoy all that is has to offer. Our party consisted of four adults, two teenagers and a baby, there were plenty of activities available close by to keep an active family amused and there are two great local parks within walking distance at Morillon and Samoens if you just want to take things easy for the day. The only down side for us was the fact that the apartment did not have much outdoor space, it would have been great to have a bit more garden space and the use of a BBQ for those lovely summer evenings. That said we had a great time a would definitely recommend to friends. Thanks for a great holiday!

Lovely apartment in great skiing area

What a wonderful week we had here! The ski area is huge and offers slopes for all abilities as well as fantastic views of Mt Blanc. The apartment is only a short walk from the ski lift which takes you straight up to the Grand Massif. Accommodation is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. It was so nice to be in a traditional yet modern chalet rather than a concrete block. We shall definitely return.

The perfect place for a family holiday

Apartment Exige proved to be the perfect place for our first snow holiday with our son (2yrs). We, and the family we travelled with (who have a toddler and baby) were thrilled with the accommodation which is spacious, beautifully furbished and well maintained. In addition to this, it is managed by people who are genuinely warm and really couldn't do enough to help - whether it was with extras like childcare or massage treatments, or more basic information and supplies. The grounds surrounding the apartment are perfect for exploratory walks, outdoor play and BBQ-ing. The nearest cable car has a car park located across the road, so driving with child and snowboarding/ski kit is quick and easy. The mountains are beautiful, the slopes are wide and in the time we were there, they were not at all congested. We would wholeheartedly recommend the apartment and region to anyone who is looking for a comfortable and relaxing holiday. We definitely plan to return.

Perfect place for summer in the Alps

Apartment Exige is spacious, clean and modern with nice bathrooms and very comfy beds. Peaceful retreat with the sound of the stream in the surrounding woods. Superb garden for BBQing with views along the picturesque and unspoilt valley. Fantastic base for exploring the area especially if you are keen on cycling, walking and via ferrata. Easy drive from Geneva airport. Perfect spot for an active holiday with a relaxing place to come back to at the end of the day.

Smashing Summer Spot

Fantastic base in a valley I really did not know much about before, but should be more famous (or perhaps not to keep the hoards away). I felt we only scratched the surface in the time we were there, but it does not matter as it was so great just being there - in the valley, up the mountains, on a bike, in the water, eating in a square, or just hanging out at the apartment. Will definitely return and this will be out first choice for accommodation.

Lovely spot

Stayed here last June. What a lovely tranquil spot in this beautiful valley. The apartment is fantastic - beautifully and thoughtfully equipped to a high standard throughout. Such an easy drive from Geneva - can't wait to return for the skiing come winter. Highly recommended.

Coast/Beach:

There is a lakeside beach within 5-10 minutes walk. It is perfect for families with a beach, swimming, horse rides, high rope courses, tennis and just chilling out. There are also plentiful river walks and cycling right on our doorstep. Other activities include white water rafting, paragliding, mountain biking, horse riding, climbing - to name just a few.

Travel:

Geneva airport just 1 hour away. Lyon airport 2 hours 15 mins. Calais 7-8 hours drive. Private airport transfers can be arranged for all our guests. In summer it is not essential to have a car, however we strongly recommend it so you can explore the fantastic area.

Distances:

Morillon Grand Massif Express ski lift 10 minutes easy walk. Samoens 5 minutes drive, Chamonix 45 minutes, Morzine 30 minutes, Geneva airport 1hr. Italy via Mont Blanc tunnel 1hr 15 mins.

Further Details:

There is a wealth of restaurants in the area. Banks and cash points are available in Morillon and Samoens. There are many shops and a good supermarket between Morillon and Samoens. There are a variety of activities especially in the summer, eg concerts on the lake, children's activities and a host of outdoor pursuits. Sporting activities include, walking, mountain biking, paragliding, via ferrata, horse riding, watersports and many, many more... Perfect for families and non-families alike.
