Spacious detached house with 5 bedrooms (2 with ensuite) and private garden

Dolphin Rock offers spacious and luxurious accommodation for up to 9 + cot. There is a private beach (residents only) a short walk from the house. The beautiful historic harbour of Charlestown is also just down the road from Dolphin Rock where you can enjoy a cocktail or lunch/cream tea/dinner/live music in The Boathouse. The Eden Project is a 10min drive and St Austell is within a 5min drive and offers supermarkets, cinema and shopping centre. On the ground floor, there is a large sitting room, dining room & fully-equipped kitchen with dining area. The sitting room & kitchen/diner both lead out to a beautiful garden with raised decked area- perfect for summer evenings. Free wifi and Sky tv with family package. There is also a more formal dining room and wc. The 1st floor offers 2 large double bedrooms both with en suites (one with shower, the other with bath/shower) & also a small 3rd bedroom with a single bed. On the 2nd floor, there are 2 further double bedrooms, one also with a cot-bed. There is also a 3rd bathroom (with bath) on the 2nd floor.

Dolphin Rock offers off-street parking for up to 3 cars.

High-chair/stair-gate available free of charge.

Stay at Dolphin Rock

Very comfortable and well equipped just right for all our family. Just a short walk from our friends who live in Charlestown and all its amenities. Our 3 children and their families and ourselves fitted in well and had a very comfortable stay. The children really enjoyed the toys and the DVDs!

Beautiful modern house in a lovely area of Cornwall- easy access to coastal walks & private beach

We had a lovely stay at this well equipped and modern house near Charlestown. The private residents beach was lovely and we enjoyed a pleasant coastal walk down into the historic harbour of Charlestown and visited the Shipwreck museum. St Austell was only a short drive away offering plenty of shops and cinema for rainy days.

Better than the photos.

Very spacious and felt just like home. Was overjoyed that there are children's toys indoors and outdoors as didn't have much room in the car for many of my son's toys. The top floor made a perfect area for the girls who would spend most of their time up there watching the dvds that are in the room. The garden is a decent size - not big but not too small - and beautifully designed.

The beach was a nice bonus and all the children loved it.

The house is in a great position to view Cornwall with a huge Asda half a mile away that's open 24 hours, tesco nearby in another direction and plenty of petrol stations around.

Beautiful house

We had a wonderful stay recently in Cornwall. Such a peaceful place, scenic and quaint and busy yet a relaxing place. Lovely restaurants nearby serving great dishes and at reasonable prices. The Rashleigh Arms Hotel provided a lovely meal one evening, and The Pier Head Restaurant did a lovely meal on another night. Various places around offered cream teas, and of course no visit to Cornwall would be complete until a cream tea has been availed of.

The Minack Theatre provided a magnificent production of The Crucible one evening. This is a brilliant location, quite an experience, and well worth a visit.

Dolphin Rock was very comfortable, clean and well equipped. It was beautifully furnished and had a well equipped kitchen. There was very good power in the showers and always seemed to be plenty of hot water. We were a party of nine with a toddler aged 19 mths, and we were very well pleased with the accommodation. Maybe I could suggest the owner could provide a few extra bin bags, and a bath mat in the baths, for safety purposes.

I would happily recommend this accommodation for comfort and location.

Great house , quiet , good location.

My family stayed in Dolphin Rock for a week from the 6th Aug. There was plenty of room for the 7 of us and a busy 2 and 4yr old in the house. Everything we needed was provided and Karen the owner even brought us more mugs and 2 bottles of local wine. The rooms were fine though it would have been nice to have a shower( above the bath?) in the 2nd floor bathroom. Quiet location and short walk to the beach and Charlestown. Wreckers was a great place to eat also the museum is well worth a visit. We had a great week even the weather was kind.

Dolphin Rock is a fabulous holiday house either for one family/ for two families to share or indeed a large group of up to 9 adults. It is fully equipped with all the essentials to make for a relaxing break in Cornwall. It is within easy walking distance from the residents only beach and also within a 5 Min walk from the famous harbour of Charlestown which boasts 2 pubs and a few restaurants and tea-rooms. Porthpean is also within a 15 min walk and is ideal for children as it is in a sheltered bay. Dolphin Rock is in an ideal location from which you can explore Cornwall either by foot or by car and is within easy reach of coastal walks and cycle paths.

St Austell is a short drive from Dolphin Rock and offers a new cinema complex, ten-pin bowling, sports centre and swimming pool. Of course St Austell also caters for the day-to-day needs so getting in the last minute BBQ bits and some wine is not a chore.

Bookings for 4 persons or less will be charged at a 5% reduced rate (not applicable during peak summer)
For large groups, a £200 deposit is required before arrival and is returned within 1 week of departure once the house has been checked for damages etc.
During peak periods we adhere to a saturday changeover but will consider a mid-week changeover at a higher rate. Please enquire.
A maximum of 2 dogs will be considered at Dolphin Rock (please enquire), but an additional cleaning cost of £70 per dog is payable.
Cancellation policy; strictly no refunds and non-transferrable on all stays.
