Visit Cornwall Recognised Inspection Scheme approved. We are in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and just a short walk to the Sea and it's stunning Coast Line. Originally built for a Ship's Captain this spacious charming house has everything to make your Special holiday in Cornwall complete. Norwood is Quality Self Catering. It has a Stylish Comfortable Sitting Room with Feature Fireplace. A separate Dining Room with Feature Fireplace. A quality modern Oak Kitchen, including Granite worktops, Aga and Butlers Sink. Fridge and Separate Freezer. The spacious downstairs Cloakroom can also be used as storage for walking gear, boots, etc. The Kitchen and Cloakroom still have their original slate flooring. Off the Hallway there is a lovely Staircase leading to the 2 double Bedrooms each with their own Modern Private Facilities. Outside there is a small private Garden, paved with original slate. The House is set nicely above a quiet road, so your privacy is not invaded. We have Wi-fi at Norwood for our Guests use and Private Parking. (Please no Smoking in the House) The Harbour is a much busier place, the Bus Stop is here, an Information Centre, Papers, Bakers, Grocery, and places to eat, including a Farm Shop just a few hundred yards from the Harbour. Boscastle is a excellent base for touring North Cornwall. From small coves where few venture, to the best surfing beaches in the Country.

About The Owner

We are Husband and Wife, and have lived in Suffolk all our married lives. Cornwall it so different, we think that is why time after time we get drawn back.

Why The Owner chose North Cornwall

We had been going to Cornwall a long time on holiday. The walking is very special if you are willing to venture out. The area around North Cornwall has some of the best Walking in the West Country. Boscastle is one of our favourite place, so when the opportuity came up to purchase Norwood we went for it. We spent lots of time and money restoring it back to it's lovely Victorian beauty. It's very comfortable, but with all the modern conveniences one would expect. Norwood is in the old original Boscastle village (very special) away from the busy Harbour but close enough to just wander down to get the morning paper or a loaf of bread from the Bakers. Pubs are walking distance so no need to use the car. The street is very quiet, the house is set nicely above the road so your privacy will not invaded. Boscastle is an excellent base for touring the area, including Bodmin moor close by.

What makes this house unique

Norwood is in a quiet area of the village. The house with it's Victorian charm will look after you. Forget what day it is, it really doesn't matter. Charge you batteries, find new ways of just doing what you want and when you want. Go for a walk on the Coast Path, (mind you might find you get hooked). Take the bus to somewhere (how long is it since any of us have been on a bus) Visit Minster Church, magical (you can walk from Norwood up to the fields you see in front of you, back down the valley to the Harbour) Car 2 mins. Don't fancy any of that, then just mess about at Norwood for the day, have a good read (we have some very good books for your use) perhaps go for a pub lunch. "It's your hoilday, your time. Enjoy." At Norwood you have the whole house (no sharing) Bedrooms have their own private facilities. Enclosed safe garden.

Notes on accommodation: All the rooms at Norwood have been furnished to create the comfort and atmosphere for your Holiday in Cornwall. "Please respect our House, and it will treat you well" Holidays are precious times, let us help you live them with a special place to stay in this very special place called Cornwall. We welcome you and your Pets. (There is a small charge @ £20 per week) Free Wi-fi. Private Parking. Please No Smoking in the House. Sorry no very young Children. 5yrs old + Welcome. Outside: Table and chairs for you to relax, (perhaps even for Breakfast) Most of the garden is paved with original slate.The house is set nicely above the road, so your privacy is not invaded. We regret we cannot take very young children under 5yrs old. The garden is secure for your pets. Pets are not to be left at any time on their own at Norwood. Utility Room: Downstairs cloakroom/ boot-room, with toilet, sink. Washer/Dryer, Shelving and hooks for boots, walking bags, etc. Small pair of steps, vacuum cleaner, worktop, airer, pegs. There are two small back packs and a flask for you to use. Original slate floor. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bed linen is Egyptian cotton, with towels, tea towels, table cloths, napkins all provided. Bathrobe with each room. Changed weekly. We supply hair-dryers, toothbrush charger, hand soap, shower caps. The property is thoroughly cleaned on departure. Other: As you enter the house through the front door you walk into an attractive hallway with doors leading to the sitting room and dining room. Cloakroom is at the end of the hall. 1 month prior to your arrival: Full Payment is required.
On Full and Final payment you will receive by Email, Confirmation of Receipt of your Final Payment and all the relevant information you need for your Holiday at Norwood.

Short Winter Breaks are available from November to March:
