This lovely property has been finished to a high standard and we have taken a great deal of pride in carefully choosing both the décor and furniture. Detached, and with a private rear garden and patio, the property is set back from the road and provides a wonderful base for a holiday in the beautiful county of Dorset. Weymouth centre is only a short distance away and the beach at Overcombe is close to hand. The property is also perfectly located for exploring the inland delights of Dorset such as Dorchester. The spacious sitting room has a large flat-screen television as well as dvd player and the separate dining room provides space for your group to dine. The modern fitted kitchen contains a large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave as well as oven and hob. The bathroom has a large shower enclosure in addition to the separate bath. The three bedrooms are all light and airy, the perfect place for a rest after a busy day exploring the local attractions.

Ideal for family Beach Holiday

We brought all 3 small grandchildren for the week. The property is well equipped, comfortable and spacious, with a good outdoor space. Close to beach and many other amenities. We were made to feel very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Preston has long been a popular residential area of Weymouth known for its high standard of properties and excellent access to both Weymouth town centre and local transport links. The stunning Jurassic Coast is an easy walk away as is the lovely beach at Overcombe. We had been searching for some time for the perfect place to spend time with our children & grandchildren and chose this property as it provided spacious accommodation in a lovely, family-friendly setting. The property is in a quiet residential area with ample parking. The location allows you to get away from the hustle and bustle of town and enjoy a quiet drink on a summer's evening in the private rear garden which affords a view over to the local hills.

Activity and Interests


The property is within walking distance of the lovely Overcombe Beach and the cliffs which provide the beautiful Jurassic Coast walks. A pleasant walk along the promenade from Preston takes you to Weymouth main beach which is only about 2 miles away. Alternatively it is easy to hop on one of the numerous buses which travel into Weymouth or a short drive into the town centre.


A car is not necessary to stay at the property as the local travel links (including buses, trains and taxis) make getting around without a car very easy.


Weymouth town centre - approximately 2 miles

Dorchester town centre - approximately 7 miles

Further Details:

There are various facilities in Preston including convenience stores, shops, hairdressers, pubs and takeaways. A short drive takes you to the local supermarket, library and various retail outlets. In Overcombe, a short walk from the property, the Spyglass Inn is an ideal place to eat whilst sitting on the decked area overlooking the sea. Kayaking is available from Overcombe and of course sailing from Weymouth itself.

Saturday changeover day. Arrival after 4pm, departure by 10am.

An immediate deposit payment of 25% is required with the balance payable 3 months before the date of your stay. For last minute bookings an agreement will be reached regarding full payment.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 7 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.

The property was refurbished in 2013 and is appointed to a high standard with a modern, stylish finish. It is a lovely home-from-home and in a quiet residential area with a fully enclosed rear garden. We have endeavoured to provide a welcoming, warm and homely place for us to enjoy as well as for paying guests. As a result we have provided the kind of facilities which make a holiday all the more comfortable such as a washing machine, ironing board and local guide books.

To the rear of the property, and accessed from the kitchen, is a pleasant and lawned garden with patio/seating area and patio furniture. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen is provided, guests are to please bring their own towels. The property is cleaned weekly on changeover day.
